Patent number: 11819900Abstract: An incremental forming tool of the present invention includes a holding portion attached to an incremental forming apparatus and a free curved surface part for pressing a metal plate. The free curved surface part is made of at least a hard metal base material and a surface of the free curved surface part is covered with a hard film. The surface of the hard film has an Rpk of 0.15 ?m or less, the Rpk is defined by JIS B 0671 and is calculated from a material ratio curve of a roughness curve, and has an Ra of 0.2 ?m or less, the Ra is defined by JIS B 0601 and is calculated from a roughness curve. Therefore, a molded product having a smooth worked surface with no roughness can be produced without adding any extra equipment for preventing adhesion.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2020Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Noriko Uchiyama, Hirotaka Miwa, Hidenori Watanabe, Toshikazu Nanbu

Patent number: 11623262Abstract: A method for incrementally forming includes: preparing a tool T disposed on one side of a metal plate W, a fixing jig 1 to hold a periphery of the metal plate W, and a template P1 including a molded edge E that follows at least a part of a contour of a part to be processed F; arranging the template P1 on the other side of the metal plate W; holding the periphery of the metal plate W together with the template P1 by the fixing jig 1 to fix the metal plate W and the template P1; and moving the tool T while pressing the tool T against the metal plate W, to incrementally form the part to be processed F having a three-dimensional shape of the metal plate W. The method enables to form the part to be processed F in high precision with no use of a molding die and thus, is effective in bringing about reducing cost of equipment and manufacturing.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2018Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Noriko Uchiyama, Hirotaka Miwa, Shigeyuki Nakagawa, Ryou Murakami

Patent number: 9885311Abstract: A thermally sprayed coating is formed on an inner surface of a cylinder bore of a cylinder block by using a thermal spray gun. The thermal spray gun is reciprocated along an axial direction in the cylinder bore while being rotated, and injects melted droplets generated by melting a wire made of a ferrous material from a nozzle at its end. At this time, a moving speed of the thermal spray gun along the axial direction into the cylinder bore is made equal-to or larger-than a predetermined value, and the number of reciprocating cycles of the thermal spray gun along the axial direction into the cylinder bore is made equal-to or larger-than a predetermined value.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2012Date of Patent: February 6, 2018Assignee: NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Kazuaki Taniguchi, Yoshiaki Miyamoto, Daisuke Terada, Eiji Shiotani, Yoshitsugu Noshi, Takafumi Watanabe, Kiyokazu Sugiyama, Hirotaka Miwa, Mitsuo Hayashi

Patent number: 9797335Abstract: In a method for manufacturing a cylinder block provided with cylinder bores, the cylinder block is held by a clamp device, stress is generated in the cylinder block by a holding force of the clamp device to duplicate deformations of the cylinder bores after assembling hearing caps thereon, boring is carried out with the cylinder bores deformed in a condition where the stress is generated, and a thermally sprayed coating is formed, after the boring, on each inner surfaces of the cylinder bores deformed in the condition where the stress is generated. According to the method for manufacturing a cylinder block, superior cylindricity, after assembling the bearing caps, of the cylinder bores on each of which the thermally sprayed coating is formed can be brought, and workability degradation of finishing works (honing) for each inner surface of the cylinder bores (thermally sprayed coatings) can be restricted.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2012Date of Patent: October 24, 2017Assignee: NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Mitsuo Hayashi, Yoshiaki Miyamoto, Daisuke Terada, Eiji Shiotani, Yoshitsugu Noshi, Kazuaki Taniguchi, Takafumi Watanabe, Kiyokazu Sugiyama, Hirotaka Miwa
