  • Patent number: 6256661
Abstract: When a remote service terminal is to be connected, the present invention executes the following procedure. The lobby terminal selects a clerk terminal which can correspond to a consulting detail and the selected clerk terminal is connected to the lobby terminal and carries out a remote consultation. When the lobby terminal selects an unattended agent server, the lobby terminal retrieves the past reply corresponding to the consulting detail of the user and displays it at the lobby terminal. When the clerk terminal corresponding to the consulting detail becomes connectable while the unattended agent server is corresponding to the user of the lobby terminal, the unattended agent server takes over the consulting detail to the clerk terminal. When there is no clerk terminal to be changed when the consultation is over, the unattended agent server sends the inquiry data which is to be replied to the user asynchronously to the clerk terminal by a communication means separately.

  • Patent number: 5978595
Abstract: A method of actively guiding and helping the user is disclosed, in which various supporting functions can be performed in accordance with a particular user situation. The method is equipped with user situation detection data having at least a user situation and a corresponding interaction pattern activated in such a user situation, supporting function select data having at least a user situation and a corresponding user supporting function name to be activated in the particular user situation, and at least one user supporting function. Each time an input is received from the user, the contents of the input are stored as an operation log data. The interaction pattern data of the user situation detection data is compared with the operation log data.

  • Patent number: 5577166
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for classifying an input pattern as a classification object by use of a neural network and transforming the input pattern into an output pattern as a result of classification, wherein there is obtained from the neural network having received an input pattern an output pattern for the input pattern such that the obtained output pattern is compared with a correct output pattern thereafter attained for the input pattern, a result of the comparison is sequentially stored in a memory, and the stored result of comparison is monitored to thereby detect an abnormality thereof.

  • Patent number: 5267148
Abstract: A computer in a securities dealing decision support system is connected via a communication line to a dealer/trader terminal device and customer terminal device. A voice communication line is connected between the dealer/trader terminal device and customer terminal device. The information generated at the computer is outputted to both the terminal devices at the same time. The customer can decide the securities dealing by using the voice communication line while looking at the same information as that for the dealer/trader.

  • Patent number: 5267348
Abstract: A fuzzy evaluation and modification system evaluates and modifies the fuzzy knowledge in a fuzzy reasoning system. The fuzzy knowledge includes fuzzy rules, each described in an "if . . . , then . . ." format, and membership functions defining meanings of propositions described in the "if . . . , then" parts. Results of the fuzzy reasoning are monitored and compared with real data of a plurality of real test cases to evaluate the fuzzy knowledge. An influence power of each of the fuzzy rules with respect to the fuzzy reasoning results is attained for all the cases. Superpositional display of real data on the membership functions of the "if . . ." part and reasoning results on the membership functions of the "then . . ." part indicates a relationship between the membership function and the real data.

  • Patent number: 4875012
Abstract: In an nuclear magnetic resonance imaging system for acquiring a tomographic image of an object of interest at a high speed by use of time-varying gradient magnetic fields, a weighting factor is used in reconstructing an image through the calculation of a correlation of data of a detected nuclear magnetic resonance signal with data of a reference signal, thereby controlling the point spread function and/or the signal-to-noise ratio in each point on the reconstruction image. Also, the effect of relaxation, chemical shift and/or static magnetic field inhomegeneity, which would otherwise degradate the image quality, can be corrected. Further, a velocity of the object of interest at each point on the reconstruction image can be measured.

  • Patent number: 4700398
Abstract: Several properties are assigned to the regions of an image having light and shade and obtained by photographing a surface of an object. Several properties are also assigned to the regions of the picture, which are extracted on the basis of the first proper-assigning operation, and the boundary lines therebetween. The angles of inclination of these regions and the condition of the unevenness of the regions of the surface which are on these boundary lines are estimated by utilizing the relation between the above-mentioned properties and the direction of a light source. Thus, the relative elevation of the surface of the object is determined. The above-mentioned properties are determined with respect to images of the same object from different directions, and the properties thus determined of these images are compared to determine the corresponding points, which are utilized to determine the quantitative elevation of the surface.

  • Patent number: 4682300
Abstract: By using a low-frequency component of attitude data of an uncorrected image resulting from scanning the ground by means of a sensor mounted on a satellite, low-frequency distortion correction coefficients are calculated. By using a high-frequency component of attitude data, a change rate is calculated. From said low-frequency distortion correction coefficients and said change rate, distortion correction coefficients covering a high frequency are calculated. By applying bidirectional resampling to the uncorrected image by using said distortion correction coefficients covering a high frequency, a corrected image is obtained.
