    Abstract: A cellulose derivative-containing aqueous dispersion which is obtained by polymerizing a mixture of a cellulose derivative, at least one radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer capable of dissolving the cellulose derivative therein and water under radical polymerization conditions, said aqueous dispersion containing as a dispersion stabilizer a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer in which polymeric chain group compatible with the polymer obtained said radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer is chemically bonded onto a hydrophilic polymeric chain group.
