Abstract: A sheet transporting device includes: a skew correcting component configured to correct any skew of a sheet by executing speed-gap driving in which first and second transporting components that are arranged at respective positions in a direction intersecting a direction of sheet transport are driven for a predetermined time period with a speed gap between the first and second transporting components; and a changing component configured to change, with reference to a characteristic relevant to sheet transport, a state of the speed-gap driving of the skew correcting component.

Management equipment (1) performs functions of; automatically assigning and managing the identification information for each plurality of network devices (6-1 to 6-N); visually outputting the identification information assigned by the administrator; and indicating the identification information of network devices (6-1 to 6-N) on a management screen of the management equipment (1) using an identifier which is the same as the identification information. Thus the same identifier is commonly used for both the identifier indicated on the management screen and the identifier displayed on the network device. Thus, at the installation location, the operator can easily recognize the network device indicated on the management screen.

The present invention provides a separation gate between draw and separation rollers for achieving a multistage separation. The separation gate is made movable in synchronization with the draw roller so as to maintain a certain separation condition, despite of the draw roller that may descend according to the number of piled sheets.
