  • Patent number: 11135943
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes an internal support member for supporting a seat occupant. The internal support member includes a main body in plate or sheet form positioned within a seat cushion frame and first and second mounting portions engaged by first and second cross members of the seat cushion frame. A pressure sensor is mounted on a part of an upper surface of the internal support member which is closer to the first cross member than the second cross member. The main body of the internal support member is formed with a pair of openings positioned on either side of a central longitudinal line. A sensor mounting portion supporting the pressure sensor is defined between mutually adjoining edges of the openings. The first mounting portion includes a central first mounting piece which is positioned laterally centrally and has a greater width than the sensor mounting portion.

  • Patent number: 6323765
Abstract: A tire air-pressure abnormality alarming device for informing decrease in air-pressure of tires attached to a four-wheeled vehicle, characterized in that the device prohibits start of initializing operations for updating stored values for physical amounts related to tires or wheels in the case where air-pressures of the tires are judged to be normal, if air-pressure abnormality of a tire is being alarmed. Initialization is accepted only after the internal pressure has become normal, whereby erroneous initialization with any tire being in a decompressed condition can be prevented. Thus, normal operations for detecting decompression of a tire can be maintained.

  • Patent number: 6060983
Abstract: An apparatus for alarming decrease in internal air-pressure of a tire based on rotational information obtained from tires attached to a four-wheeled vehicle. A relative speed ratio of driving wheels at the time of actual running is corrected based on a preliminarily relationship between the relative speed ratio of right and left tires of different types of driving wheels and driving force, and decrease in internal pressure of a tire is determined. The accuracy for determining decrease in internal pressure of a tire can be improved, and erroneous alarm or failure in alarm can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5844475
Abstract: An apparatus for alarming abnormality of tire air pressure, including: a display section capable of displaying information in a normal operation mode and information in a special operation mode; an input switch capable of entering ON/OFF information; and a non-volatile memory whose information in the special mode does not disappear even if an ignition is turned off wherein the apparatus is configured so that the special operation mode is entered by turning on the ignition while pressing the input switch, and the information in the special operation mode is displayed on the display section. The apparatus can prevent a dangerous action such that the driver reads a failure code or the position of a tire having abnormal internal air pressure while driving a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5748076
Abstract: An apparatus for alarming of an abnormality of tire air pressure, comprising a detection mechanism capable of detecting air pressure abnormality of each tire, and only one display mechanism capable of displaying only ON or OFF state; wherein the display mechanism is capable of outputting a plurality of display patterns to inform of plural kinds of information with the display patterns. The alarming apparatus of the present invention is capable of infoming of the abnormality alarm, failure, or state of calibration with one display mechanism. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the occupying area of the combination meter display section of a vehicle, with a reduced cost.

  • Patent number: 5691694
Abstract: A tire deflation alarm apparatus to be provided on a vehicle with air-filled tires, comprising: a timer for measuring a period of time from when the air pressure of a tire is set to a normal value to the time when the air pressure spontaneously drops to a dangerous value, the period of time being established beforehand; an alarm portion connected to the timer and designed to give an alarm after the period of time has elapsed; and a reset switch for resetting the timer to the zero hour. The apparatus is capable of warning the tire's spontaneous air pressure drop that inevitably occurs when allowed to stand.

  • Patent number: 5604307
Abstract: A tire pressure drop alarm device for judging a pneumatic pressure drop by calculating rotational angular velocities of tires provided for a four-wheel vehicle. When the vehicle is traveling on a road which varies in condition between left and right sides, a front/rear ratio of rotational angular velocities of the tires at the shoulder side of the road changes more markedly than that of rotational angular velocities of the tires at the center side, and a large time differential value appears. Therefore, it is possible to judge the traveling condition of the vehicle when the road condition varies between left and right sides. When it is judged that the traveling condition of the vehicle encounters a road condition which varies between left and right sides, the tire rotation of the four wheels is likely to become unbalanced, giving a false alarm even if the tire pressure does not drop. In this case, the judgment by the pneumatic pressure drop judging means is inhibited to prevent an issuance of a false alarm.
