  • Patent number: 5786909
Abstract: A photographic printing apparatus including a lens controlled to be positioned at a printing position, immediately adjacent a film negative, during photographic printing operation of the apparatus and at a normal position, displaced from the film negative, during other operations of the apparatus. Positioning the lens at the normal position, displaced from the film negative, enables the lens to be more easily protected and adjusted. The apparatus further includes a sample print detector apparatus comprising a CCD camera for capturing the sample print for display on a video monitor with a print position recognizing cursor. Key-subject points are specified with the cursor and mismatch between the key-subject points is determined in order to provide correction of filming-position. A rotating mechanism is also provided for rotating a negative mask member, lens member and exposure station by an identical angle of rotation to obtain a predetermined angle of exposure.

  • Patent number: 5748290
Abstract: A film feeder/winder is capable of winding films compactly, feeding films backward and keeping films damage-free. A plurality of films wound in a magazine case are fed one by one into a film guide. The film guide is partially openable, so that a film being fed backward can be looped by protruding from the film guide. Films are fed into a scanner/exposure unit for scanning and printing. After printing, films are fed into another magazine case and wound into a roll. It is possible to print any additional films by inserting them into an inlet opening of an extra passage branching from the film feed path. Also, a film being fed backward may be guided into this extra passage until it protrudes from the inlet opening. Both magazine cases have guides and rollers for smoothly winding films around their respective film take-up cores.

  • Patent number: 5530519
Abstract: A control strip holder having a light interrupting door opened and closed by the instruction of an external open-and-close instruction means is installed on the exposure table of an automatic printing and developing machine, which is provided with the open-and-close instruction means. The control strip is automatically drawn out from the holder, held onto the exposure table by air-suction and transferred to the developing unit. The control strip is drawn out by the holding force of the exposure table. As a structure for concentrating the holding force on the driving of the control strip, a mask plate is provided on the control strip holder to cover almost all the holding zone of the exposure table. The leading end of the control strip remaining outside the control strip holder is held on the exposure table by a force which is stronger than exerted on normal paper. Thus, the control strip is transferred to the developing unit through the outlet by the paper conveying belt of the exposure table.

  • Patent number: 5400096
Abstract: Handling of emulsion surfaces of both 3D and conventional photographs in the cases of development and drying processes is made possible by the following providing apparatus including a mechanism for selection of emulsion surface or selective reversal of the photographic paper. The difference in the processing time of 3D and conventional photography is dealt with by switching photographic paper conveying routes in the development section when processed such as development, bleach fixing and stabilizing processes take place. Printing of 3D photography is dealt with by making movable either both an exposure station and a lens or just the lens alone. Furthermore, switching is provided between respective lenses for conventional and 3D photographic printing. A suction type exposure station may be used, and may employ a mechanism to control an adhesive force applied to a photographic paper in the conventional and 3D photography.
