  • Patent number: 5883386
Abstract: A light-receiving apparatus comprises a light-receiving device positioned relative to an external component with increased accuracy. A sealing frame is mounted on a printed circuit board. One corner of this sealing frame is detectable by image processing. The position inside of the sealing frame at which the light-receiving device should be mounted is determined from the detected position of the corner of the sealing frame. A sealing material is injected inside the sealing frame and cured, thereby sealing the light-receiving device. Pins of the external components are inserted into holes or cutouts in the sealing frame and made stationary when the light-receiving device is mounted to the external component. The mounting of the light-receiving device inside the sealing frame is based on the sealing frame, and the mounting of the apparatus to the external part is based on the sealing frame. Therefore, the light-receiving device can be mounted relative to the external part with high accuracy.

  • Patent number: 5602613
Abstract: A lens driving device for a camera or the like drives a lens through a correct distance by the distance through which the lens is driven being corrected according to errors in mechanical parts; as a result it is not necessary for the mechanical parts to be made of high precision, and maintenance of molds used in their manufacture can therefore be made easy.

  • Patent number: 5045873
Abstract: A mechanism for opening and closing a shutter includes a rotatably mounted drive member, a motor operable to rotatably drive the drive member, an actuator for opening and closing the shutter when the drive member is rotated, and an operating arrangement between the drive member and the actuator operable to provide a gear driving operating relationship between the drive member and the actuator during one part rotation of the drive member and a non-driving relationship during another part rotation of the drive member.

  • Patent number: 5028946
Abstract: A shutter for a single lens reflex camera, comprises a drive gear rotatable in opposite directions by a motor and having a non-tooth portion, a control gear directly or indirectly engageable with the drive gear, shutter blades driven by the control gear to open and close a shutter opening, and a spring for constantly biasing the control gear in a direction to close the shutter opening. Upon rotation of the drive gear, the control gear is rotated to face the non-tooth portion of the drive gear whereby the shutter blades are moved under the action of the spring to close the shutter opening. When the control gear is brought into meshing engagement with the drive gear, the shutter blades are rendered operative to open and close the shutter opening.

  • Patent number: 4974006
Abstract: A lens driving device for an auto-focusing camera includes a lens driving member biased to move in one direction, a ratchet wheel having a plurality of teeth and rotatably associated with the lens driving member, a rockable retaining member having two pawl portions alternately engaging the teeth of the ratchet wheel, an electromagnet for controlling the rocking motions of the retaining member, and a control circuit for outputting a signal to the electromagnet to control the biased movement of the lens driving member.

  • Patent number: 4929977
Abstract: In a camera having a lens shutter and a focal-plane shutter accomplishing the operations of programed exposure and aperture control, a flash photography changeover device includes a first changeover circuit for setting a lens shutter mode for operating the lens shutter as a programed shutter or a focal-plane shutter mode for controlling the shutter speed by the focal-plane shutter and the aperture by the lens shutter; a first driving device for controlling the programed exposure value and/or the aperture value of the lens shutter; a second driving device for controlling the shutter speed of the focal-plane shutter; a sequence control circuit for controlling the operating timings of the two driving devices; a setting circuit for selecting and setting automatic exposures with a natural light and a flash light; and a coercive changeover circuit for setting the lens shutter mode irrespective of the setting of the first changeover circuit when the setting circuit is set to the automatic exposure with the flash lig
