  • Patent number: 7417400
Abstract: The present invention is a motor control device comprising a control system, the control system being capable of controlling the motor by PWM and having integration means being capable of outputting an integrated value obtained by integrating a deviation between a rotation speed and a target rotation speed of a motor, the motor control device being capable of starting control with the control system for causing the motor to rotate at the target rotation speed after rotation of the motor has been started. In this motor control device, an output value of the integration means at a time when control with the control system is to be started is set to have a value that corresponds to a counter electromotive force generated in the motor by its rotation.

  • Patent number: 7284924
Abstract: An encoder is adapted to be opposed to a scale provided with a plurality of marks or slits arranged in a first direction at predetermined intervals. A plurality of detectors is arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction while being staggered in the first direction, each of which detects a position of each of the marks or slits, and the plurality of detectors being operable to respectively output an detection signal which has a first frequency. A first signal generator is operable to generate an first output signal which has a second frequency which is 2n-times of the fist frequency based on the detection signal output from a first detector of the plurality of detectors. A second signal generator is operable to generate a second output signal which has the second frequency based on the detection signal output from a second detector of the plurality of detectors.

  • Patent number: 7182337
Abstract: A paper feed unit includes a hopper on which sheets are stacked and which is turned around a rotation shaft. The hopper is turned to move apart from or move to a paper feed roller. The paper feed unit has three modes: a large release mode in which the hopper is turned to be most apart from the paper feed roller, a non-release mode in which the printing sheet is abutted against the paper feed roller, and a small release mode in which the printing sheet, is slightly separated from the paper feed roller, and is at a medium level between the above two modes. When a paper feeding job is still present, a state that the uppermost printing sheet is slightly separated from the paper feed roller is retained by the small release mode, whereby a swing range of the hopper is minimized.

  • Publication number: 20070013574
Abstract: An encoder is adapted to be opposed to a scale provided with a plurality of marks or slits arranged in a first direction such that a distance between centers of adjacent marks or slits in the first direction assumes a first length. Each of photo detectors has a light receiving region adapted to receive light emitted from a photo emitter and transmitted by way of the marks or slits, and is operable to output a detection signal in accordance with a quantity of the light received by the light receiving region. The photo detectors are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction while being shifted in the first direction by a second length which is one-sixteenth of the first length. Each of signal generators is operable to generate an output signal based on at least the detection signal outputted from one of the photo detectors.

  • Publication number: 20060221384
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus capable of receiving a job in a distributed print mode in which print processing is executed by distributing the print processing to a plurality of image forming apparatuses and a job in a single print mode in which print processing is executed by one image forming apparatus, job information about a received job is stored and managed. Output of information of the received jobs is controlled on the basis of the stored job information so as to make the information distinguishable between the job in the distributed print mode and the job in the single print mode.

  • Patent number: 6418274
Abstract: A motor control apparatus and a method according to the invention are directed to detecting a motor velocity. Leading and trailing edges of two pulse signals are distinctively detected from one another, and those pulse signals have cycles which are proportional to the motor velocity, and a phase difference between the pulse signals is about one quarter of a single cycle from one another. Then, a period of time between the pulse edges in the same direction of the same pulse signal is measured, and the period of time between the pulse edges is used to sequentially convert it into the motor velocity and thereby detect the motor velocity.
