Abstract: A paper delivery system having a printing unit with an upstream tractor and a downstream tractor disposed on an upstream side and a downstream side, respectively, of the paper delivery unit in the direction of paper delivery, a coupler coupling the upstream tractor and the downstream tractor to each other and a support shaft for supporting the coupler so that the coupler is movable in a direction transverse to the paper delivery direction and a resilient member positioned between the coupler and a fixed frame of the printing unit for energizing the coupler in a predetermined direction for constantly holding the coupler at a certain position in relation to the support shaft.

Abstract: A developing unit of an electrophotographic apparatus is provided for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an image forming member, by electrostatically adsorbing powder developer onto the latent image. The developing unit includes a screw provided with paddles or grooves, each having a helix angle with respect to an axis of the screw, the screw transferring and supplying the powder developer stored in a developer reservoir to the developing roller; a blade for regulating a layer thickness of the powder developer to be transferred to the image forming member; and a flow regulating plate for biasing a flow of the powder developer, which has been removed by the blade and returned to the developer reservoir due to the force of gravity, in a direction opposite to a direction in which the powder developer is transferred by the screw.

Abstract: An apparatus for loading/unloading a drum member and a related method are described. The apparatus includes an inner support member slidably arranged between a center shaft fixed to a frame and a drum member. When the drum member is required to be unloaded from the frame, the inner support member is ejected along the center shaft for a predetermined length, and then the drum member is drawn out while using the inner support member as a guide. The method includes the steps of: providing a center shaft secured at one end to the frame; providing an inner support member slidably attached to the center shaft; providing a drum member supported at its inner surface by the inner support member and being slidable along the center shaft axis; drawing out the inner support member for a predetermined length toward the outside of the frame; and drawing out the drum member toward the outside of the frame, while using the inner support member as a guide.
