  • Publication number: 20100199139
Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus that uses a communication protocol to transmit and receive data with a data check bit, including a received data determining section that performs a data check for received data by using the data check bit to determine whether the data is error; a received result transmitting section that, when determined to be error, discards the data and transmits a retransmission request to other wireless communication apparatus of the transmitting origin, whereas determined to be not error, transmits a message indicating that the data is normal to the other wireless communication apparatus of the transmitting origin; and a retransmission asking section that determines whether a format of the data is incorrect or normal, and when determined to be normal, passes the data to predetermined processing, whereas when determined to be incorrect, discards the data and asks the received result transmitting section to request retransmission of the data.

  • Publication number: 20090041056
Abstract: Instead of adding control information that should be passed on to two or more RLC entities or two or more PDCP entities on the counterpart side to data respectively in two or more RLC entities or two or more PDCP entities at the sending end, control information is added in MAC entity and then distributed to two or more RLC entities in MAC entity on the counterpart side.

  • Publication number: 20090041055
Abstract: MAC entity produces a single PDU in such a way that two or more SDU's, which are received from RLC entity via logical channels, are integrated, and header H and MAC control information CONT are added. Transmission order information (time stamp TS) is added to the PDU. The PDU including the transmission order information is transferred to a transport channel, and then transmitted on a radio basis to an apparatus of the other party.

  • Publication number: 20090042514
Abstract: Transmission and reception of a data unit such as RLC-PDU is performed more efficiently than the conventional method when a retransmission control is performed in radio communication such as mobile phone communication. If poll information is transmitted after RLC-SDU of a logical channel #1 has already been transmitted to a mobile phone terminal, the RLC-PDU is generated by using a header including the poll information but not by using the RLC-SDU on a layer 2 and then the RLC-PDU is sent to a layer 1.

  • Publication number: 20090042568
Abstract: A method for controlling radio communication such as mobile phone communication is provided for preventing an endless loop of a request for retransmission that is issued by a device on a reception side to a device on a transmission side. The transmission device performs processes of counting, for each RLC-PDU, the number of times when a request for retransmission is issued by the reception device (#524), and transmitting control information indicating that a process of receiving the RLC-PDU should be skipped to the reception device when the number of times of the request for retransmission of the RLC-PDU reaches a threshold value (#528).

  • Publication number: 20090044068
Abstract: A method for counting correctly substantial transmission times of a data unit such as an RLC-PDU even if the data unit is divided before being transmitted is provided. The method includes the steps of preparing a counter for the RLC-PDU (#503), making a storage portion store a pointer indicating a position of a division PDU of the RLC-PDU to be transmitted every time when the division PDU obtained by dividing the RLC-PDU is transmitted (#504), determining whether or not the transmission times should be counted along with a transmission of the division PDU to be transmitted based on the pointer of the division PDU to be transmitted and the pointer of a division PDU that was transmitted last time (#505, #506 and #507), and making the counter perform the count process when it is determined that the transmission times should be counted (#508).

  • Publication number: 20080031218
Abstract: In a wireless telecommunication system employing a time division multiple access (TDMA) system, a scheduler of a base station determines an allocation of a first frame and a second frame for a first data set to be transmitted to a terminal and a second data set to be transmitted thereto after the first data set. A generation unit generates scheduling information for notifying the terminal of the timing of transmitting the second data set on the basis of a relative number of frames for indicating the number of second frames relative to that of the first frame. An addition unit adds scheduling information generated by the generation unit to a control channel corresponding to the first data set and sends the result to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 5699086
Abstract: A system for controlling an image display which enables the efficiency of transfer of image data to be greatly improved when a control processor and display control unit access an image memory at alternate timings, the control processor updates the image data, and the display control unit displays the image data on a display, wherein the control processor is first made to wait so that the relative deviation in phase between the operational cycle (T1 to T4) of the control processor and the alternate access cycle of the control processor and display control unit specified by the display control unit is initially set to a certain relative relationship so that the two accesses do not conflict, then the image data is transferred without waiting.

  • Patent number: 4897672
Abstract: A checking method for a device having a plurality of light emitting elements, especially an LED array installed in electronic printing equipment. The check is done while the LED array is mounted in the equipment and does not require removal thereof. The check is done in a short time period, so it can be done during a period of page change of the printer, without disturbing the operation of the printer. Each of the LEDs are lighted one by one with a pulse. The output emission of the array is detected by a photoelectric detector which is positioned to detect the emission from any of the LEDs. The output of the detector becomes a burst of pulses, each of the pulses representing the emission property of a corresponding LED. Each pulse is converted into a digital signal and stored in a RAM as emission data. The emission data is fed back to the driver of each LED to compensate for differences in the emission characteristics of the LEDs. This improves the uniformity of the output image the electronic printer.
