  • Patent number: 6444384
Abstract: A process for producing an electrophotographic photosensitive member which has a charge-generating layer and a charge-transporting layer on a substrate, has steps of applying a solution containing a charge-transporting material, binder resin, dimethoxymethane, and an aromatic hydrocarbon-based solvent having a boiling point of 130° C. or higher, and drying the solution, to form the charge-transporting layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 23, 2001
Date of Patent: September 3, 2002
    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Yoichi Kawamorita, Itaru Yamazaki, Nobumichi Miki, Takao Soma, Hirotoshi Uesugi
  • Publication number: 20020068231
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrophotographic photosensative member surface layer containing diorganopolysiloxane having, as substitutes, a perfluoro group, and a group having a substituted or unsubstituted polystyrene chain, a closed terminal and a degree of polymerization of 3 or more. The present invention also provides a process cartridge having the electrophotographic photosensative member, and a electrophotographic apparatus.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6185398
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive member is constituted by a support and a photosensitive layer disposed on the support. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a surface layer comprising a polyester resin having a recurring unit represented by the following formula (1): wherein A1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted divalent aliphatic hydrocarbon group. The resultant surface layer is effective in improving an abrasive resistance of the photosensitive member.
