  • Patent number: 6727622
Abstract: The invention provides a movable magnet type instrument able to reduce cost and an instrument device using this movable magnet type instrument. The movable magnet type instrument M1 has a rotor magnet 1 magnetized such that adjacent magnetic poles are poles different from each other; a pair of coils 5, 6 arranged around this rotor magnet 1 and having winding central axes C1, C2 crossing each other without being perpendicular to each other; control means 120 for processing an input signal based on a measured amount and supplying a driving signal mutually having a different electrical angle to each of the coils 5, 6 and rotating and operating the rotor magnet; and a pointer 9 for rotating the rotor magnet 1 as a driving source; wherein, when the number of magnetic poles of the rotor magnet 1 is set to n and an acute angle formed by crossing the winding central axes C1, C2 is set to r, the acute angle r is set to an angle calculated by 360/2n (n is a multiple of 2 equal to or greater than 4).

  • Patent number: 6211585
Abstract: A stepping motor type indicator provided with unambiguous stable points having a holding force in a non-excited condition sufficient to suppress undesirable movements of a pointer. The stepping motor type indicator includes a stepping motor (2) having a rotor (28) with an output shaft (27) and stators (A, B). Yokes (23, 26) have a plurality of pole teeth (232, 233, 262, 263) extending toward curved outer surfaces of the rotor. The pole ends of a specific pole tooth (232a) chosen from one of the plurality of pole teeth is made to have a pole end area different than that of the remaining pole teeth. This structure produces unambiguous stable points (“a”-“l”) and produces strong holding forces so that an attractive force exerted by the stable point (“a”) on the pointer (4) toward stopper pin (7) is increased to positively suppress undesirable movements of pointer (4).

  • Patent number: 6031305
Abstract: A stepping motor capable of improving the degree of smoothness of the rotation of the rotor thereof is provided. According to the present invention, when the width of each of magnets (41, 42, or 44, 45) in the axial direction of the rotor (3) of the stepping motor is expressed by W0, the width of overlapping of each of sets of pole teeth 15, 16 and 25, 26 in the axial direction of the rotor 3 is expressed by W1 and the width of a space between the inner surfaces of each of outer yokes(14, 24) and each of inner yokes(13, 23) is expressed by W2, the width W0 of each of the magnets (41, 42) is so set as to satisfy the relationship of W2>W0>W1.

  • Patent number: 5977670
Abstract: The invention makes it possible to achieve an increased labor efficiency in connecting a stepping motor and a circuit board. It is intended to provide a structure of electrical connections between the stepping motor and the circuit board in which a main motor unit of the same construction can be used regardless of whether the circuit board is located at a front surface or at a rear surface of the stepping motor.

  • Patent number: 5770900
Abstract: It is intended to provide a stepper motor having windings which are easy to wind. Increase in size of the motor itself can be circumvented.First and second coil blocks 20 and 21, respectively, are formed by first and second annular bobbins 27 and 34, respectively, and by first and second annular yokes 28, 29, 35, 36. The bobbins have winding portions 25, 32 on which first and second exciting coils 26, 33, respectively, are wound. A magnet rotor 22 having a rotating shaft 41 mounted thereto is rotatably held in a gap 43 between the coaxial laminations of the coil blocks 20, 21. Connector terminals 37 and 38 consisting of first connection portions 37a, 38a and second connection portions 37b, 38b are buried in the annular bobbins 34 of the second coil block 21. The first connection portions 37a, 38a protrude from a flange 30 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of the rotating shaft 44.
