  • Publication number: 20040195372
Abstract: Disclosed is an automatic irrigation system of the simplified structure which can intermittently supply water (and liquid fertilizer) required by farmer products under the water saving condition depending on the weather condition of the day (an amount of solar beam in a day) without relation to the size of irrigation area. In this automatic irrigation system, water of the water source is pumped up with a motor pump which is driven with electric power generated by a solar panel and is then stored in a reserving tank. When a predetermined amount of water is stored in the reserving tank, a water draining means continuously drains all the water in the reserving tank. This cycle is repeated in proportion to an amount of solar beam in a day. The water is then guided to the irrigation area with a tube irrigation system. An amount of water to be irrigated is proportional to that of solar beam in a day. A liquid fertilizer mixing device is also used simultaneously when it is required.

  • Patent number: 6778485
Abstract: There are disclosed an optical storage device for accessing an optical recording medium such as a phase change type of optical disk and an optical magnetic disk, and a liquid crystal device preferably applicable to such a optical storage device. The liquid crystal device has a structure that two liquid crystal layers, each of which has stripe-like shaped electrodes arranged in a direction perpendicularly intersecting one another, are superposed. This structure makes it possible to effectively correct an aberration caused by a change in a depth from a surface of an optical recording medium to a condensing point, for example, in cases of unevenness in thickness of a protective layer and a multi-layer recording.

  • Publication number: 20020145754
Abstract: A communication terminal device by which it is possible to reduce the communication expenses, and to improve operational performance. The communication terminal device includes a CODEC circuit which has communication ability of a V.34 mode, is formed by a hardware, and codes and decodes image data. The communication terminal device includes a CODEC program which has the communication ability equal to or lower than a V.17 mode, and codes and decodes image data. When reading an image by an image reading unit and coding the image data by the CODEC circuit, or when decoding a coded image data by the CODEC circuit and printing the image of the image data by an image printing unit, if a calling demand for the communication is generated, a main control unit waits for processing completion of coding or decoding by the CODEC circuit, and starts the calling of the communication.

  • Patent number: 6256114
Abstract: A communication terminal device of the present invention, having a function for transfer of file data such as code data and binary data, can relay or broadcast file data received from another communication terminal device to yet another communication terminal device. When the communication terminal device as the relay destination is not able to receive file data, the communication terminal device of the present invention converts the received file data to facsimile coded data and transmit it. For that purpose, the communication terminal device is provided with a character generator that converts code data to image data.

  • Patent number: 6243334
Abstract: The present invention relates to an information reading and writing device for an optical signal, and the optical system is simplified by using a diffraction optical element. A semiconductor laser is used as a light source. There is provided an image formation lens for condensing a beam of light and forming an image on an optical disk medium. In an optical path between the semiconductor laser and the image formation lens, there is provided a hologram having a function of the hologram region diffraction optical element for detecting a tracking error signal of the medium and a focus detection error signal. Two optical detecting elements 24a, 24b for detecting the focus error respectively have two divided regions. Under the condition that the medium is in focus, beams of light diffracted in the two hologram regions 23a, 23b for detecting the focus become the convergent beams which are most converged on a dividing line of the respective optical detecting element and in the direction of the optical axis.

  • Patent number: 6198548
Abstract: The copier-facsimile system including a recording unit for making a copy of an original or reproducing facsimile image data sent from a remote facsimile and a flap-type paper tray extending outward from a body of the communication terminal device when it is used such that a user can manually feed a recording sheet to the recording unit therefrom. The copier-facsimile system further includes an input key for inputting a first size of a recording sheet to be fed to the recording unit from the flap-type paper tray for printing facsimile image on the recording sheet and a second size of a recording sheet to be fed to the recording unit from the flap-type paper tray for making a copy. RAM stores the first size. The controller changes the recording sheet size setting of the recording unit to the first paper size from the second paper size upon completion of a copy operation if the first paper size is not equal to the second paper size and the copy operation has been carried out using the flap-type paper tray.

  • Patent number: 5982402
Abstract: A tandem type color printer, having optical beam scanning units and corresponding photosensitive drums, which detects a positional shift of a scanning locus occurring on a corresponding one of the plurality of photosensitive drums, and automatically corrects the detected positional shift of the scanning locus. A detecting window, in which a beam transmission time varies with a change in the beam scanning position, is provided at each of the start end side and the terminal end side of each of a plurality of beam scanning loci in a mask plate. The mask plate is arranged between the optical beam scanning units and the photosensitive drums, to provide output of a detection signal corresponding to the incident time of the transmission beam resulting from beam scanning by a light source, and thus determines and corrects the direction and the amount of positional shift of the scanning locus.
