  • Patent number: 6311616
Abstract: A stamp cylinder, upstream number cylinder, downstream number cylinder and a paper discharge cylinder are respectively arranged with respect to an impression cylinder so that a distance between the stamp cylinder and the upstream number cylinder has a length equal to or more than a length of a sheet paper. Also, a distance between the downstream cylinder and the paper discharge cylinder has a length equal to or more than a length of a sheet paper. Further, a distance between the stamp cylinder and the downstream number cylinder has a length equal to or less than a length obtained by adding a length of the effective surface of the impression cylinder to twice a length of the notch portion of the impression cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6109181
Abstract: The present invention is to provide an inking device for a printing machine, which enables a work for replacing a plate cylinder to be carried out easily without removing a form roller or readjusting a nip pressure. Over a bearing 10 of the first swing roller 9a are supported a roller supporting lever 35 supporting rotatably the first form roller 13a and a roller attaching/detaching lever 45 linked with link mechanisms 49,47 and 48 each mounted on a machine frame 1, a compression coil spring 63 is mounted in each lever via a guide rod for biasing the first form roller 13a against a plate cylinder 4, and the first form roller 13a is able to be moved to a retreat position separated from a running position into the axial direction of the plate cylinder by a prescribed distance via both the levers 35 and 45.

  • Patent number: 6058837
Abstract: An inking device for a printing machine, which has both a nip pressure adjusting mechanism, adjustable from the outside during the running of the machine, and a follow-up mechanism of a nip pressure to a movement of a plate cylinder and increase a degree of freedom in handling each member for the inking device enable the setting thereof to be easier. The inking device is equipped with two supporting levers 14 which rotatably supports the second and third form rollers 13b and 13c and are usually biased by compression coil springs 23 to push the second and third form rollers 13b and 13c against a plate cylinder 4, and two rolling member supporting levers 25 supporting a bearing roller 27 to contact a roller-lifting cam 7 and another bearing roller 27 to contact a plate cylinder follow-up cam 6 supported by the second eccentric bearing 2, wherein each of the supporting levers 14 and each of the rolling member supporting levers 25 are interconnected by a screw rod 29.

  • Patent number: 5351946
Abstract: A delivery apparatus for a sheet-fed printing press includes a holding member, a delivery chain, at least two sheet stacking units, an engaging member, and a switching unit. The switching unit selectively switches a sheet release position where the engaging member abuts against the holding member and a retreat position where the engaging member does not abut against the holding member. The switching unit includes an air cylinder having a movable actuating rod, a first lever, having two ends pivotally mounted on the actuating rod and the engaging member, respectively, for coupling the actuating member and the engaging member, and a second lever having one end swingably supported and the other end swingably and pivotally mounted on a coupling portion between the actuating rod and the first lever. The first and second levers are located substantially on a straight line when the engaging member is at the sheet release position.

  • Patent number: 4495865
Abstract: In a plate clamping device of a web-fed rotary printing press, a plate cylinder is provided with a longitudinal slot having a narrow opening opened on the peripheral surface of the plate cylinder, a semicircular bottom surface and oppositely inclined surfaces interconnecting side walls of the opening and opposite ends of the semicircular bottom surface. A plate clamping shaft having a flat surface and a slit is loosely inserted in the slot. After inserting one bent end of a printing plate wrapped about the plate cylinder between one inclined surface and the flat surface of the plate clamping shaft and the other bent end into the slit the plate clamping shaft is rotated to tightly fasten the printing plate. Reverse rotation of the plate clamping shaft is prevented by releasable pawls. With this plate clamping device it is possible to tightly fasten the printing plate regardless of its thickness.
