  • Patent number: 8968460
Abstract: To provide a Cu—Mn—Fe-based complex inorganic oxide black pigment having a more vivid bluish hue than a Cu—Mn—Fe-based complex inorganic oxide black pigment obtained by a conventional wet method. A Cu—Mn—Fe-based complex inorganic oxide black pigment having a more vivid bluish hue is disclosed. The complex inorganic oxide black pigment has a spinel structure composed of oxides of copper, manganese and iron as main constituent metals, the molar ratio of copper/manganese/iron is in a range of 3 to 8/5 to 10/1, at least one divalent metal element other than the main constituent metals has been introduced, and the molar ratio of (copper+the divalent metal element)/(manganese+iron) is in a range of 1 to 1.6/2. A production process of the black pigment is also disclosed.
