  • Publication number: 20030053111
Abstract: In the energy saving mode, a card I/F circuit section is controlled to turn ON intermittently for a predetermined interval by using a switch. The I/F circuit section supplies electric power to an outside I/F part during the ON interval, and receives some communication data from the outside. When the communication data received by the I/F circuit section is a request for a return from the energy saving mode, a return to the ordinary mode is effected. Therefore, an I/F part, such as a non-contact IC card, requiring external electric power supply can be used as a factor of a request for a return from the energy saving mode. In addition, the energy consumption for that purpose can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20010038710
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for converting multi-valued image data obtained, for a plurality of pixels of a continuous tone image, by an image input device, into binary image data representing a halftone image to be output by an image output device. The conversion is performed by comparing the multi-valued image data for the plurality of pixels with threshold values, which are determined in advance so as to be specific to a combination of the image input device and the image output device. Alternatively, the multi-valued image data may be corrected before comparison with threshold values, by using correction data which is determined in advance so as to be specific to a combination of the image input device and the image output device.

  • Patent number: 5717783
Abstract: A color image processing system in which image data generated in other systems can be commonly used is disclosed. In the color image data processing system, an image processing unit processes color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a first light source, and the image data includes information relating to the first light source. An image output unit receives color image data represented in a uniform color space system under illumination by a second light source and produces color images according to the color image data. A correction control unit in the image processing unit judges whether or not the first light source coincides with the second light source. A correction formula calculating unit calculates a correction formula corresponding to the difference in characteristics between the first light source and the second light source. A light source difference correction unit corrects the color image data according to the correction formula.
