  • Publication number: 20030040346
Abstract: A portable information terminal device having a camera feature and comprises a case provided with an image pickup module including a lens and an image pickup element and a lid member of the device provided at a predetermined position with an adapter optical system different from the lens. The lid member is linked to the case to be displaceable relative to the case between predetermined positions including a position for causing the optical axis of the lens and that of the adapter optical system to substantially agree with each other. When the optical axis of the lens and that of the adapter optical system are substantially agree with each other by displacing the case and the lid member relative to each other, the optical parameters of the synthetic optical system obtained by combining the lens and the adapter optical system are different from those of the lens.

  • Patent number: 6394415
Abstract: A fluid control valve, which can control a fluid having a pressure in the order of 10 kg/cm2, has a response time in the order of several milliseconds can be made small in size, and a fluid supply/exhaust system that provides less gas counter flow in the event of a plurality of valves being used. A fluid control valve of the invention controls a fluid moving in a valve body by closing and opening a portion between a valve seat and a valve holder by use of a drive unit. The drive unit has a rod-shaped shaft for application of pressure through the valve seat and the valve holder, and a member “a” fixed around the rod-shaped shaft. The member “a” is made from a magnetic material, and has a space between it and the shaft. A coil provided in parallel to the shaft, moves the shaft via the member “a” up and down by electromagnetic induction, and makes use of a spring force to close and open a portion between the valve seat and the valve holder.

  • Publication number: 20020032578
Abstract: As a request for a printing operation is input to the terminal of a publisher connected to a computer network, the server of the service providing company detects printing companies qualified to provide printed matter that meet the printing requirements as candidates. The selected candidate printing companies are rearranged according to the workload of each of the printing companies and a list of the names of the rearranged printing companies is output and displayed on the terminal of the publisher. If the publisher rejects the candidate printing companies, other candidates are listed and displayed. When the publisher's intention for placing an order with a selected printing company is made known, the server processes an agreement for the order.

  • Publication number: 20020026096
Abstract: An operational remote controller integrates a joystick for bending a bending portion of an inserted portion in an endoscope. A bending lever stands on the joystick. For every automatically returning of the bending lever to a neutral position, a CPU of the operational remote controller detects the neutral position and sets an insensitive band within a predetermined range of the neutral position. Thus, the insensitive band can be set within a relatively narrow range irrespective of variation of neutral positions. The CPU supplies positional information of the bending lever to a control circuit for controlling a motor drive circuit. The control circuit controls a motor drive circuit based on the supplied positional information, and the motor drive circuit drives a motor to bend the bending portion of the inserted portion.

  • Patent number: 6335138
Abstract: A production method of toner particles has steps of mixing a binder resin and a colorant, melting and kneading the mixture, pulverizing the kneaded material, and classifying the pulverized materials to give a colored resin particles. Then the colored resin particles are mixed with silica particles having an average primary particle size of 16 to 28 nm with the number of particles (A) that are less than 15 nm in particle size, the number of particles (B) that are between 15 and 30 nm in particle size and the number of particles (C) that are larger than 30 nm in particle size having the relation of (B)/(A)>4 and (B)/(C)>4. To obtain toner particles, the resultant mixture is heat-treated to make the colored resin particles spherical and to make the silica particles fixed on the surface of the colored resin particles.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing an electrophotographic toner having a mean particle diameter of more than 5 &mgr;m and less than 10 &mgr;m. For manufacturing the above size of toner, coarsely pulverized particles are pulverized to medium pulverized particles having a mean particle diameter of more than 10 &mgr;m and not more than 19 &mgr;m at first. Subsequently, the medium pulverized particles are further pulverized to small diameter particles having a mean particle diameter of more than 5 &mgr;m and less than 10 &mgr;m, and thereafter the small diameter particles are classified by a rotor type classifier.
