  • Publication number: 20070077910
Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide a digital broadcast receiving unit capable of restraining the influence of a noise generated in a digital signal processing circuit to be exerted upon a turner unit, and of arranging a digital signal processing circuit board close to the tuner unit while restraining the influence exerted upon a peripheral circuit thereof and so forth even if the tuner unit is laid out on any location of a main circuit board. Both the tuner unit and the digital signal processing circuit board substantially stand upright on the main circuit board, respectively. The digital signal processing circuit board is disposed close to the tuner unit along the longitudinal direction thereof, and the digital signal processing circuit board has a mounting face on which electronic components such as ICs and so forth are mounted at a side facing tuner unit.

  • Publication number: 20060242601
Abstract: To provide an electronic apparatus which allows a user to select a desired setting item easily on a menu screen for making settings of the electronic apparatus. A plurality of setting items of the electronic apparatus are divided based on predetermined classification and a plurality of icons 15 illustrating the classification are displayed. To improve viewability of the icons 15, icon frames 16 are used as backgrounds of the icons 15, and when the user selects an icon, a cursor 17 is used which explicitly specifies the icon being selected 15 and icon frame 16 by displaying them in a changed background color. Using these three components of the icons 15, icon frames 16 and cursor 17, the user can select a desired icon easily from among the icons 15 indicating the classification of many setting items of the electronic apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20050201005
Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a magnetic tape recording and reproducing apparatus such as a video recording and reproducing apparatus that does not require any additional dedicated member, and any specific and complicated steps of attaching a member to a chassis and forming a cable in a manufacturing process, and that can prevent an influence of a noise emitted from a drum motor cable to an audio head cable. This invention provides a magnetic tape recording and reproducing apparatus including: a metallic housing; a metallic chassis; and a main printed board provided on a rear surface of the chassis. A drum motor, an audio head, and a capstan motor are arranged at a first position, a second position, and a third position on a front surface of the chassis, respectively. A loading motor is arranged on one side surface of the chassis.

  • Publication number: 20050018942
Abstract: This invention prevents a reception disturbance provoked by a higher harmonic generated from a power supply device. When a channel of a broadcast wave of radio broadcasting is selected, a receiving frequency is acquired. An oscillatory frequency is detected from an output voltage on a secondary side of the power supply device. The receiving frequency is compared with the oscillatory frequency. It is determined whether a difference between the receiving frequency and a frequency that is n times as high as the oscillatory frequency, where n is a natural number, is within a deviation. If this difference is not within the deviation, then it is determined that the higher harmonic does not influence reception of the broadcast wave, and the broadcast wave is received. If the difference is within the deviation, it is determined that the higher harmonic influences the reception of the broadcast wave. Therefore, an operation of a load device which operates irrespectively of the reception is turned on or off.

  • Publication number: 20040190726
Abstract: The invention intends to provide an audio output control circuit capable of reproducing the audio signals inputted to the external input terminals in the multi-channel audio reproduction system with a simplified circuit configuration. The control circuit furnishes the external input terminals with a detection circuit composed of a switch for electrically connecting both of the external input terminals, and a switch circuit. The switch is in a connection state in the normal condition, but when a plug is inserted into the one of the terminals, the switch is made disconnected. When the plug is inserted only into the other one of the terminals, and the monaural signal is inputted, the same monaural signal is outputted from the two terminals. The switch circuit being put in ON and OFF by a current from the other one of the terminals detects the insertion state of a plug.

  • Patent number: 6713694
Abstract: Disclosed is a reset mechanism for use in an electric device equipped with a microcomputer having a reset circuit associated therewith. An insulating housing of the electric device has a small through hole provided therein, and chassis of the electric device has a small through hole provided therein and in alignment with the small through hole of the insulating housing. A reset terminal of the reset circuit is placed behind the small through hole of the chassis of the electric device. The microcomputer can be reset simply by inserting a metal rod into the two through holes as far as the reset circuit.
