  • Patent number: 8209968
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle including an engine, a generator capable of generating power by being driven by the engine, an electric motor capable of running on power supplied from the generator, a power split device that transmits output from the engine to a driving wheel and the generator and also transmits output from the electric motor to the driving wheel, and a main ECU that controls an output ratio of the engine and an output ratio of the electric motor using the power split device according to the running state of the vehicle. When the operating mode of the engine is switched between a lean burn operating mode and a stoichiometric burn operating mode, the main ECU selectively increases and decreases the output ratio of the electric motor so that the total output, which is the combined output of the engine and the electric motor, is constant.

  • Patent number: 8210070
Abstract: A reduction gear capable of satisfying, at high level, each of: realizing a high reduction ratio; preventing backlash by securing rotation smoothness; and carrying out compactification and weight saving of entire mechanism is provided. The reduction gear of the invention is a modified crown reduction gear, comprising: a pressing mechanism 16 operated to rotate; a fixed crown gear 2 fixed to an external member 15; a movable crown gear 1, wherein the difference in the number of teeth between the gears is one; and an output axis 3 flexibly attached to the gear 1. The gear 1 engages with the gear 2 at a slant by pressing-force provided from the mechanism 16. In this instance, contact locations of teeth of the gears 1 and 2 are dispersed at two places existing at both sides between which a gradient center line intervenes.

  • Patent number: 8213032
Abstract: An information processing method of an information processing apparatus that receives a job ticket, includes performing a function according to the job ticket, and determining whether a notification that the process has normally ended is received. In one embodiment, if it is determined that the notification is not received, a JDF analysis/correction unit may search for a confirmed subsequent function in the system based on a system map, and can determine whether there is another apparatus including the subsequent function in the system based on the search result. If the JDF analysis/correction unit determines that there is another apparatus including the subsequent function, the job ticket is updated and transmitted to the subsequent apparatus, along with input data.

  • Patent number: 8210063
Abstract: A twin clutch type speed-change apparatus applies a dog clutch to speed-change gears slid on a main shaft and a counter shaft for changing the number of speed-change steps. A twin clutch type speed-change apparatus includes a transmission having a plurality of gear pairs between a main shaft and a countershaft and a twin clutch. The rotational drive force of the engine is connected/disconnected between the transmission and the engine by the twin clutch. A dog clutch with dog teeth and a dog hole is applied between an axially slidably attached slidable gear and an axially non-slidably attached non-slidable gear to select an on gear pair for transmitting the rotational drive gear, from a plurality of gear pairs in the transmission. Rotational drive force is transmitted between the slidable gear slid by a shift fork and the coaxially adjacent non-slidable gear by engagement of the dog clutch.

  • Patent number: 8214124
Abstract: In a cruise control system for a vehicle, a cruise ECU calculates a cornering resistance applied to the vehicle based upon a steering angle, when a vehicle turns. The cruise ECU calculates a speed reduction amount as a correction vehicle speed based upon the cornering resistance. The cruise ECU subtracts the correction vehicle speed from a set vehicle speed to set a target vehicle speed so that the vehicle speed becomes lower as the cornering resistance is larger. The cruise ECU controls the vehicle speed to be within a permissible speed range of the target vehicle speed.

  • Patent number: 8210830
Abstract: A channel is formed as an asymmetric diffuser-shaped channel having a narrow channel on a diffuser inlet side and a wide channel on a diffuser outlet side. The narrow channel is communicated with a variable volume chamber which is provided therein with a piezoelectric element. Vibration generated by actuation of the piezoelectric element causes a pressure variation of a fluid in the variable volume chamber to generate a nozzle flow which in turn causes a smooth flow of the fluid from the wide channel to the narrow channel.

  • Patent number: 8212550
Abstract: A position indicator includes a tubular core member comprising a first magnetic core, a second magnetic core, a first coil, a second coil, a rod, a pen-pressure detecting element, a capacitor, and a switch. At least one of the first and second magnetic cores includes a recessed portion extending in the axial direction so as to form a through-hole when the first and second magnetic cores are combined, and the rod is inserted through the hole. The first coil is wound around the tubular core member, and the second coil is wound around the second magnetic core. The pen-pressure detecting element detects a pressure applied to an end of the rod (i.e., the pen tip). The capacitor is connected to the first coil to form a resonant circuit. The switch controls “on” and “off” states of the second coil to calculate a rotation angle of the position indicator.

  • Publication number: 20120162170
Abstract: A bidirectional shift register capable of performing a stable shift operation in both directions and an image display device using the same are provided. In forward shift operation, when reference point N1 is at H level, (n+4)-th unit register circuit as a rear stage of the bidirectional shift register outputs pulse G(n+4) in synchronization with clock pulse V (n+4) inputted to (n+4)-th unit register circuit. A backward direction trigger signal VSTB is generated not only at the time of start of backward shift, but also, for example, in period (time t4 to t5) of one-phase clock immediately after G(n+4) is outputted in vertical blanking interval of the forward shift. The backward direction trigger signal VSTB is inputted to gate of a transistor provided to set reference point N1 of (n+4)-th unit register circuit to H level at the time of start of the backward shift.
