  • Publication number: 20090080693
Abstract: An electronic watermark embedding apparatus and an electronic watermark embedding method can severally deal with both of the resistance property of an electronic watermark and the prevention of image quality deterioration. Electronic watermark information of a high importance level is embedded in a component having a strong resistance property, and electronic watermark information of a low importance level is embedded in a component exerting little influence on an image quality. As a result, the electronic watermark information to be embedded in the component having a strong resistance property is limited to that of a high importance level. Moreover, the image quality deterioration can be suppressed in comparison with the case of embedding all pieces of information, and the electronic watermark information of low importance level is embedded in the component having a weak resistance property but exerting little influence on an image quality.

  • Publication number: 20090079979
Abstract: A spectrophotometer is provided capable of reducing the influence of the vibration as much as possible when a wavelength dispersion element is rotationally driven and capable of increasing the analysis accuracy. When a fluorescence signal is obtained from the fluorescence detector, the central control unit A/D converts the fluorescence signal at sampling intervals of T1 for vibration convergence determination, and provides the result data to the data processor (S1). At the timing of performing the vibration convergence determination (S2), the data processor performs a predetermined signal processing to the digital signals obtained (S3), and determines whether all the data that have been obtained within a given period of time from the latest data are equal to or smaller than a specified value (S4). If all the data are equal to or smaller than the specified value, it is determined that the diffraction grating's vibration is converged, and the vibration convergence determination operation is terminated.

  • Publication number: 20090081787
Abstract: The present invention aims at providing a medicament and a method for promoting replication of hepatocytes and a medicament and a method for ameliorating insulin resistance. An effective amount of a neutralizing agent for CXCL10 belonging to a subfamily of chemokines which are heparin-binding proteins is administered to the hepatocytes to promote the replication of the hepatocytes. As the neutralizing agent for CXCL10, a factor which is specifically bound to CXCL10 and inhibits an activity of CXCL10 or a factor which inhibits CXCL10 expression is suitably used. By administering the neutralizing agent to impaired hepatic tissue, it is possible to restore and regenerate the hepatic tissue. Meanwhile, by administering an effective amount of the neutralizing agent for CXCL10 to the hepatocytes, the insulin resistance in type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome is ameliorated.

  • Publication number: 20090080311
Abstract: In a super-resolution optical disk for the purpose of achieving an increase in the density of recording data by reproducing a recording mark smaller than optical resolution, the optimum reproduction power needs to be determined since the quality of a super-resolution reproduced signal strongly depends on the reproduction laser power. However, since the track error signal required for tracking servo also depends on the reproduction power, there is a need for a method for determining the reproduction power taking into account both the stabilization of tracking servo and a quality improvement of the reproduction signal. The reproduction power is changed under conditions with focusing servo applied but without application of tracking servo. Thereby, a cross track signal is detected to identify a reproduction power region that leads to quality improvement of both a reproduction signal and a track error signal.
