  • Publication number: 20050042994
Abstract: In a radio apparatus, the band of a loop filter of a synthesizer in a blank channel searching state is narrower than the band in a communicating state. In addition, a radio wave environment is measured. A characteristic necessary for the radio apparatus is determined corresponding to the measured-radio wave environment. The power is controlled corresponding to the performance of the radio apparatus. Thus, the power consumption is decreased. In addition, the efficiency of the output power is improved. In the radio apparatus, the current consumption of a power amplifier PA is measured. A matching circuit (LNA or MIX) of the antenna is adjusted with the measured result so as to decrease an antenna loss. In the radio apparatus, a DC offset is removed from the transmitted power and the reflected wave. When the DC offset is removed using an AC coupling capacitor, the deterioration of the frequency characteristic of the receiving portion is compensated with a capacitor in a digital signal process.

  • Publication number: 20050044477
Abstract: An evaluation period c to n (including k) from the past c to the future n for asset facilities to be managed is set. Based on the result value of the past profit and the forecast value of the future profit during the evaluation period and the fixed asset value of the facilities before and after the evaluation period, a management evaluation coefficient X during a set evaluation period, which includes a sum of past profit Pi? (i=C to k?1), a sum of future forecast profit Pi (i=k to n), and a difference in fixed asset value before and after the evaluation period (Vn?Vc), is computed. If management is evaluated based on the management evaluation coefficient X, they can be operated and managed by determining a management policy that targets a long-term profit that reflects the characteristics of the facilities.

  • Publication number: 20050040617
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a system that ensures safety when an airframe makes a sudden and sharp vertical movement, the system operating automatically to restrain movement of a service cart in a vertical direction such that the workload of a cabin attendant is not increased and there is no need for structural design modifications of the airframe. The safety device for a service cart of the present invention is designed to prevent the cart from floating upward by engaging a part of the cart with a fitting on the passenger seat, and comprises a sensor constituted by a combination of an inertial member and a spring to detect a sudden vertical motion of the airframe and a mechanism which causes plates to protrude from both the left and right sides of the cart using a detection signal of the sensor as a trigger. The protruding plates are then engaged.

  • Patent number: 6859898
Abstract: In a monitor apparatus for a sequential-function-chart-type programmable controller, a standard value of an active time of an arbitrary step in a sequential-function-chart program is stored, and the active time of the arbitrary step is measured during execution of the program. An anomalous state of the arbitrary step is detected through comparison between the measured active time and the reference value. Further, data indicating whether each step in the sequential-function-chart program has been executed are stored. The program is displayed such a manner that an anomalous step, a step or steps which have been executed, and a step or steps which have not yet been executed are distinguished from one another.

  • Patent number: 6858081
Abstract: In a selective growth method, growth interruption is performed at the time of selective growth of a crystal layer on a substrate. Even if the thickness distribution of the crystal layer becomes non-uniform at the time of growth of the crystal layer, the non-uniformity of the thickness distribution of the crystal layer can be corrected by inserting the growth interruption. As a result of growth interruption, an etching rate at a thick portion becomes higher than that at a thin portion, to eliminate the difference in thickness between the thick portion and the thin portion, thereby solving the problem associated with degradation of characteristics due to a variation in thickness of the crystal layer, for example, an active layer. The selective growth method is applied to fabrication of a semiconductor light emitting device including an active layer as a crystal layer formed on a crystal layer having a three-dimensional shape by selective growth.
