    Abstract: A cushion body of a seat for vehicles is disclosed which comprises a main pad portion, front and back portions foldably, integrally connected with the corresponding forward and back edges of the main pad portion, and left and right side portions foldably, integrally connected with the corresponding left and right side edges of the main pad portion. All the pad portions are made of a foam material, and the front and back portions as well as the right and left side portions have superimposing surfaces for being superimposed on the upper surface of the main pad portion when each of those portions are folded over on to the main pad. A recessed portion is formed in one of the upper surface of the main pad portion and the superimposing surfaces of those front and back portions as well as left and right side portions, or both of all the upper surface and superimposing surfaces thereof, whereby an air bag is stored in the cavity formed by the recessed portion(s).

    Abstract: A vehicle seat is disclosed in which an air bag is inserted into each of a plurality of support sections provided in a seat cushion and a seat bag respectively, and feed/exhaust operating devices provided collectively at one place are operated to adjust the amount of air within each of the air bags separately or simultaneously so as to expand and thus elevate the front part of the respective support sections by means of air pressure.

    Abstract: A vehicle seat is disclosed which includes air bags therein in order to form support sections of a predetermined configuration on the surface of the seat. Within a seat pad in the seat, in particular, in its interior portions which correspond to locations where said support sections are formed, there are formed slits respectively such that these slits extend substantially parallel with the surface configurations of the respective support sections. Also, the air bags are inserted into and contained within these slits, respectively. The air bags and thus the support sections can be suitably expanded and compressed by means of an adjustment device.
