  • Patent number: 5821207
Abstract: The method for producing a fine solid builder particle includes the steps of suspending a solid builder in a dispersion medium containing 20 to 100% by weight of a surfactant, and carrying out wet grinding of the solid builder. The builder composition containing the fine solid builder particle is obtainable by the above method. The detergent composition containing the fine solid builder particle is obtainable by the method. The method for producing a detergent composition includes the steps of carrying out wet grinding of a solid builder using a dispersion medium containing a surfactant to give a mixture of a fine solid builder particle and the surfactant, and further adding the mixture to a composition for a detergent.

  • Patent number: 4741959
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprises a support the magnetic layer and a magnetic layer, coated on said support, comprising magnetic powder, a binder, (I) an ester compound having the formula: ##STR1## in which R1 and R2 are each a saturated alkyl group having 1 to 25 carbon atoms, branched or straight, the total carbon number of R1 and R2 being from 22 to 34, and R3 is a saturated or unsaturated alkyl group having 7 to 29 carbon atoms, branched or straight, and (II) an ester compound having the formula: ##STR2## in which R4 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 29 carbon atoms, straight or branched, and R5 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 23 carbon atoms, straight or branched, or a straight aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 24 to 36 carbon atoms, the total carbon number of R4 and R5 being 15 to 65. Alternatively, the ester (II) compound can be replaced by an aliphatic acid having from 8 to 30 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 4677817
Abstract: A traveller for spinning made of hard drawn steel wire or alloy steel wire, having at least at the surface of a part which makes contact with a ring a ceramic coated layer. The ceramic coated layer consists of one or plural layers selected from a layer of carbide, nitride, oxide, boride or the like. The traveller with a ceramic coated layer has high wear resistance, runs stably for many hours, prevents frequent yarn breakage and has longer service life.

  • Patent number: 4675250
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium having improved lubricity and durability properties which comprises a magnetic powder, a resin binder and an ester compound of the formula (1): ##STR1## in which R1 and R2 are each a straight or branched, saturated alkyl having 1 to 25 carbon atoms and R3 is an unsaturated hydrocarbon group or a straight or branched, saturated alkyl and has 7 to 27 carbon atoms, provided that the total carbon atom number of R1 and R2 ranges from 18 to 32 when R3 is the unsaturated hydrocarbon group and that ranges from 22 to 32 when R3 is the saturated alkyl. It is improved in lubricity and durability.

  • Patent number: 4670430
Abstract: Polyvalent metal salts of 2-mercaptopyridine-N-oxide which are made into fine powder in which particles having a size below 0.2 micron are contained in amounts not smaller than 50 wt %.Preparing process of the above and antibacterial compositions comprising the above are also disclosed. When the finely powdered polyvalent metal salts of 2-mercaptopyridine-N-oxide are incorporated into shampoo or rinse compositions, dispersion stability of the salts is remarkably improved with the enhanced adsorbability of the particles on the skin and hair, thus antibacterial and dandruff-removing actions owing to the salts are further improved.

  • Patent number: 4284090
Abstract: A combing cylinder assembly of a comber includes a needle plates laminated member and a combing cylinder proper. The needle plates laminated member is formed by laminating a plurality of needle plates, each needle plate consisting of a needle base part with a needle head at the upper portion thereof and a needle inserting part, the two parts together forming a substantially acute angle .angle. shape with a concave recessed portion at the corner therebetween, and by inserting and locking a connecting member in the concave recessed portions. The combing cylinder proper has formed therein grooves arranged in rows, in which grooves the needle plates has grooves in rows made therein in which the needle plates laminated members are inserted.

  • Patent number: 3958404
Abstract: This invention relates to a balloon control ring.Said balloon control ring has, on its inner surface of the ring proper, a plurarity of ribs arranged in parallel at regular intervals. The ribs are also arranged in such a manner that a yarn contacts the ribs at an angle against the direction of the ribs. The ribs successively overlap each other so that a yarn contacts at the same time the point at which it leaves one rib and the point at which it comes into contact with the next rib. Said balloon control ring proper is fixed to a supporting means which is fixed to the frame of a machine. Thus the balloon control ring can control ballooning of yarns satisfactorily in the spinning doubling and twisting process and the like of an artificial or synthetic fiber or a mixture of fibers, while allowing a yarn to pass through at a high speed without causing melting, fluffing or breaking of the yarn.
