  • Publication number: 20070057747
Abstract: In a semi-coaxial cavity resonator in which an inner conductor is fixed to an outer conductor with a screw, an inner cavity where the inner conductor does not engage with the screw is provided to extend from a bearing surface of the inner conductor to a region of an internal thread hole formed inside the inner conductor which does engage with the screw, thereby providing a region where the screw is deformable. Accordingly, deviation in perpendicularity of the screw relative to the bearing surface, deviation in perpendicularity of the internal thread hole of the inner conductor, and the like, may be accommodated by the deformation of the screw, and the bearing surface of the inner conductor is brought into contact with a bottom surface of an outer conductor evenly and reliably, thereby suppressing intermodulation distortion from occurring.

  • Patent number: 7116966
Abstract: First and second transmission paths P1 and P2 are disposed between a first port #1 connected to an antenna ANT and a second port #2 connected to a transceiving circuit 10. The first transmission path P1 includes receiving filters Rx1, Rx2, and Rx2?, an amplification circuit LNA, and 90° hybrid circuits 12 and 14. The second transmission path P2 includes a transmitting filter Tx1. A received signal amplified by the amplification circuit LNA is transmitted to the port #2 via the 90° hybrid circuits 12 and 14, but is not transmitted to the second transmission path P2. A transmission signal is transmitted from the port #2 to the second transmission path P2. This prevents oscillation of the received signal due to positive feedback.

  • Patent number: 6981307
Abstract: The measurement and adjustment of characteristics of a filter alone are performed using a connector adapter, in which a pin of the filter becomes a central conductor of the adapter. The filter after the adjustment and a device which is not adjusted are assembled, such that the filter and the device are connected by connecting the pin provided in the filter and a transmission line provided in the device. Accordingly, the time for adjustment is shortened and the adjustment for obtaining the desired characteristics of the filter module are made easy.

  • Patent number: 6903627
Abstract: The present invention provides a dielectric resonator having increased reliability with respect to thermal cycle fatigue of a joint between a conductive cavity and a dielectric core disposed in the cavity without an increase in material cost and processing cost, a filter and duplexer each using the dielectric resonator, and a communication device including these devices. The dielectric resonator has a structure in which the dielectric core is provided in the cavity through earth plates. Each of the earth plates has slits provided at positions in contact with the four corners of each of two opposing side faces of the dielectric core. Of the four sides of each of the earth plates, the two sides provided with spring portions are preferably inclined so that the distance between the two sides decreases toward the bottom of the cavity, and concave portions are formed in the inner surface of the cavity corresponding to the two inclined sides.

  • Patent number: 6897741
Abstract: A small dielectric duplexer using a small TM mode dielectric resonator having a low loss is formed. On the transmission side thereof, TM double mode dielectric resonators and a TM triple mode dielectric resonator are arranged in a line so that their opening surfaces face the same direction. On the receiving side thereof, TM single mode dielectric resonators and a TM triple mode dielectric resonator are also arranged in the same direction in a similar manner as the transmission side. The external dimensions of the plurality of these dielectric resonators are made uniform by selecting a dielectric having a dielectric constant according to the degree of multiplexing. The opening surfaces of the cavities are covered by a panel having input/output terminals, an antenna connection terminal and input/output loops and by a panel having coupling loops. In this manner, a small dielectric duplexer with uniform external dimensions and a low loss is formed.

  • Patent number: 6774744
Abstract: A dielectric filter that has attenuation poles on both the low frequency side and the high frequency side of its pass band, without using two dielectric resonators. The dielectric filter includes a cavity in which a conductive layer is formed, and a cross-shaped dielectric resonator disposed within the cavity, the dielectric resonator having at least three resonant modes, and coupling loops being coupled to the dielectric resonator. A coupling loop couples to a resonant mode at a first stage, among the resonant modes of the dielectric resonator, and also couples to resonant mode at a third stage in approximately negative-phase with respect to the first stage.

  • Patent number: 6529094
Abstract: A dielectric resonance device includes a cavity body, a support base disposed inside the cavity body, and a dielectric core supported by the support base. A stepped portion is provided inside the cavity body such that a gap between the outer circumferential surface of the dielectric core and the inner wall surface of the cavity body and a gap between the peripheral portion of the support-base attachment surface of the dielectric core and the stepped portion change in opposite directions with temperature variation. Thus, variation with temperature in the resonance frequency of a TM01&dgr; mode is suppressed.

A metal foil having a cover portion for covering each end face, and having a spring portion which may be bent along the outer edge of the flange portion is connected to the dielectric core by bonding the cover portion of the metal foil to the end face using an electrically conductive adhesive. Thereafter, the spring portion of the metal foil is soldered to the inner surface of the cavity wall. The metal foil has a portion raised toward the inner surface of the cavity wall, and the inside of the raised portion is filled with an adhesive.
