  • Patent number: 4968014
Abstract: A transport apparatus for transporting media in various size sheets processed at a first processing station to a second processing station. The apparatus comprises, as main components thereof, a plurality of trays disposed between the first and second processing stations, each for accommodating media sheets of one size stacked one upon another, a first transport device for receiving media from the first processing station and transporting the media to the trays, and a second transport device associated with the trays for successively transporting the media from the trays to the second processing station.

  • Patent number: 4874161
Abstract: A sheet transporting apparatus, for use in laser beam printers, CRT printers or the like wherein the apparatus transports a photosensitive sheet to an exposure station for forming images thereon. The apparatus includes a guide plate for guiding the sheet to the exposure station and a conveyor belt having levers on its outer surface for pushing the trailing edge of the sheet by movement of the lever along the guide plate. The levers cause the sheet to move initially at a speed V1 and then at a speed V2 which is less than a speed V0 at which the sheet is transported to a station for further processing of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 4866472
Abstract: A transport apparatus for successively transporting a plurality of sheet media having different lengths from a first processing station to a second processing station. The apparatus comprises, as main components thereof, a tray disposed between the first and second processing stations for accommodating the media as stacked one upon another, a first transport device for receiving the media from the first processing station and transporting the media to the tray, a second transport device for acting on leading ends of the media stored on the tray and successively picking up the media to transport the media to the second processing station, and a roller disposed above the tray for contacting a top surface of the media stored on the tray. The roller is rotatable to align the leading ends of the media.

  • Patent number: 4854519
Abstract: A magazine includes a case for accommodating a strip of recording medium as wound around a tubular core, a support shaft provided in the case and supporting the inner periphery of the core for rendering the medium rotatable, and reverse rotation preventing members permitting forward rotation of the core when the recording medium is paid off from the case and preventing the core from rotating in a winding direction opposite to the forward rotation. Even when the recording medium is subjected at its leading end to an external pushing-in force or tends to be rotated by shaking or vibration during handling, the reverse rotation preventing members restrain the medium from rotating in the opposite direction to prevent the leading end from slipping into the case.
