  • Publication number: 20090061791
Abstract: A diversity control method of selecting a plurality of antennas having directivities and disposed in different directions is disclosed. At least two antennas are selected from the plurality of antennas. First diversity control of comparing strengths of reception powers of the selected at least two antennas is performed. One antenna having a stronger reception power than others is selected. If the radio conditions of at least two antennas have deteriorated in the first diversity control, second diversity control of comparing radio conditions of at least two antennas is performed in a predetermined period and at least one of the antennas is changed to another new antenna based on a compared result.

  • Publication number: 20080175012
Abstract: An alerting illumination device, which includes a detecting component, a danger degree estimating component, a danger assuming component, an illuminating component and a controlling component, is provided. The danger degree estimating component estimates a degree of danger, with respect to a subject vehicle, of the person detected by the detecting component. The danger assuming component, on the basis of the estimated degree of danger, assumes whether or not the person detected by the detecting component is a danger with respect to the subject vehicle. The illuminating component illuminates light. The controlling component, in a case in which the danger assuming component assumes that the person is a danger, controls the illuminating component such that light, which shows a direction of the person who is assumed to be a danger and a distance to the person, is illuminated onto a road surface.

  • Patent number: 6265891
Abstract: For detecting a coil short-circuit in an electric motor such as a switched reluctance motor, an apparatus includes a first phase coil, a second phase coil, and a third phase coil. Through each of the coils, a current, whose amount is sensed by a current sensor, flows in such manner that the amount ranges from zero to a reference current amount in a reference set-up time duration. If the detected amount of current by the current sensor becomes the reference current amount in a time duration which is shorter than the reference set-up time duration and the resultant condition continues for an another reference time duration, it is regarded that a short-circuit occurs in the phase coil corresponding to the current sensor and the apparatus stops the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 6140794
Abstract: Angle bounds of a normal energization of the coil of an electric motor are generated in accordance with a combination of a rotation direction and a torque direction of the electric motor. Angle bounds of the decided energization are determined based on a decision of either energization or deenergization of the coil and the detected rotation angle of the rotor. An abnormal condition is determined to exist when the angle bounds of the decided energization are not within the angle bounds of the normal energization.

  • Patent number: 5915894
Abstract: A core drill of dry type used for drilling through concrete structure or the like. A main shaft 23 rotatably driven by a motor 33 with a fan 32 is provided with a rubber ring 27 for allowing axial vibration of the shaft, and loosely supported by bearings 25 and 26 with a clearance between them so that it can be slightly tilted in the lateral and transverse directions. During drilling, a spacing between a diamond tip in a leading end of the core bit and a concrete structure or the like is changed as the core bit is moved in the vertical direction and tilted in the lateral and transverse direction, and chips produced by the drilling operation are efficiently discharged by injecting air from the fan 32 through an axial bore 22 in the shaft 23.
