    Abstract: A connector is provided with a terminal element including a conductor-connecting section connectable to a conductor of an electric wire and a contact section capable conductively contacting with a corresponding terminal element of a counterpart connector, an electrically insulating body for supporting the terminal element while exposing the conductor-connecting section and the contact section, and an abutting member assembled with the body and bringing the wire conductor into abutment with the conductor-connecting section under pressure. The body includes a fitting portion capable of fitting with a counterpart connector while positioning the contact section with respect to the corresponding terminal element. The conductor-connecting section and the contact section are arranged to be aligned with each other generally orthogonal to a connector fitting direction defined by the fitting portion.

    Abstract: An improvement in electrode reliability is realized by preventing over-etching on a peripheral lower portion of an electrode while maintaining the flow of steps of roughening a surface after forming the electrode on a semiconductor substrate. After a P-side electrode 4 is formed on a main surface 3a of a semiconductor substrate 3, a surface of the P-side electrode 4 is selectively covered with a protective film 12, after the semiconductor substrate 3 is cut into chips, the surface is roughened from above the protective film 12, the main surface 3a around the P-side electrode 4 and a side surface are roughened with a non-chemical treatment region 10 which is a non-roughened surface region being left in a peripheral portion of the P-side electrode 4 covered with the protective film 12, and thereafter the protective film 12 is removed.

Mold parts (61a, 61b) pass from the exterior through a mold-removal hole (21) in a tube (14) of the housing and into a mold fitting space (41) in an interior mold (40). A beam (22) extends between two edges (21e) of the mold-removal hole (21) that are substantially normal to a removing direction of the first mold (40). Thus, the mold-removal hole (21) is divided into divided holes (21a, 21b) along a direction substantially normal to the removing direction of the first mold (40). Dimensions of the divided holes (21a, 21b) along the removing direction of the first mold (40) are small. Thus, an opening edge (41e) of the mold fitting space (41) of the first mold (40) is not likely to catch and damage the opening edge (21e) of the mold-removal hole (21).

    Abstract: A cable connector allows the electrical contacts thereof to come into elastic contact with a ground plate when the cable connector connecting with a shielded cable is fit-connected to a PCB connector through the ground plate. The contact effectiveness of the electrical contacts is improved so that a shield-ground path from the shielded cable to the ground plate has a low impedance. The connector is provided with electrical contacts which are composed of generally U-like bent spring plates. Each spring plate is supported at one end thereof on the shield shell, and comes into elastic contact with the ground plate when the cable connector is fitted into the mating connector.

The holder (50) has a holding plate (52) that holds the front surface of the rubber ring (30) to prevent the rubber ring (30) from coming off.
