  • Patent number: 7193933
Abstract: When carrying out magnetization, annealing, and initialization of a recording film by applying a laser beam to the recording film while rotating an optical recording medium 10 by a motor 11, light of a strong visible-light lamp 15 is projected as parallel light to a reflecting mirror 14 via a lens 16 so as to apply light reflected by the reflecting mirror 14 to an area wider than a spot of the laser beam on the medium 10 for heating. At that time, a control unit 18 controls an intensity of the strong visible-light lamp 15 to raise a temperature of the medium 10 to a temperature of 80° C. or higher and a softening point of a substrate or lower, for example.

  • Publication number: 20060290623
Abstract: A light emitting device (10) may comprise a constant current source (12), a first organic electroluminescent element (16), switches (14, 20), and a second organic electroluminescent element (18). The first organic electroluminescent element (16) may be connected to the constant current source (12). The switches (14, 20) may switch the direction of a voltage applied from the constant current source (12) to the first electroluminescent element (16). The second organic electroluminescent element (18) may be connected in parallel with the first organic electroluminescent element (16). When reverse voltage is applied to the first organic electroluminescent element (16), electric current from the constant current source (12) flows to the second organic electroluminescent element (18) and the second organic electroluminescent element (18) generates an electric potential.

  • Patent number: 7131669
Abstract: In a vehicle, a seatbelt extracted from a retractor is extended to and suspended by a webbing guide portion of a first rod, folded back in a predetermined direction by the webbing guide portion, and extended from a belt drawing-out portion. A load applied to the webbing guide portion when the seatbelt contacts it is dispersed by the first rod and one or more additional rods to prevent the load from concentrating at a portion of a body of the vehicle where the first rod is attached. As a result, it is not necessary to provide a large bracket for attaching the first rod to the vehicle body. With this arrangement, the weight and the cost of parts can be reduced while securing the strength thereof and realizing a belt folding-back function, and further a degree of design freedom of the layout can be improved.

  • Patent number: 7098580
Abstract: A quartz-crystal oscillator has a configuration wherein a rectangular container 1 accommodating a piezoelectric oscillator device 5 therein is fixed to a rectangular supporting substrate 6 on which an IC device 7 is mounted via spacer members 12 formed of metal bodies. On the surface of the supporting substrate 6, part or all of the IC device 7 and side faces of the spacer members are coated with a resin material. When the quartz-crystal oscillator is implemented on a main board by soldering or the like, the problem that the solder for bonding the quartz-crystal oscillator to the main board is adhered to the spacer members 12, thereby causing a short-circuit can be effectively prevented.

  • Patent number: 6642419
Abstract: In the presence of (1) an oxidizing catalyst comprising an imide compound such as N-hydroxyphthalimide, or (2) an oxidizing catalyst comprising such imide compound and a transition metal element-containing compound as a co-oxidizing agent (e. g., oxides, halides, complexes, hetero polyacid salts) a hydrocaron, an alcohol, an aldehyde, or a ketone as a substrate is brought into contact with molecular oxygen for oxidation. In the above-described oxidation process, the water content of the oxidizing reaction system is 200 mol or lower relative to 1 mol of the imide compound. According to the present invention, a substrate is efficiently oxidized with molecular oxygen under mild conditions, and there can be obtained the object compound(s) of high quality.
