  • Patent number: 6720508
Abstract: A switch includes a switching mechanism, an operating mechanism with a key which normally causes the switching mechanism to be in a switched-off condition when it is pulled out and to be displaced against a biasing force to be in a switched-on condition when the key is inserted, and a locking mechanism for maintaining the switching mechanism locked in the switched-on condition and releasing it from the locked condition if a load greater than a specified magnitude is applied to the key while the switching mechanism is locked such that the switching mechanism is set back in the switched-off condition. The switching mechanism may be contained in a head case attached to a main case containing the operating mechanism. The main case also includes a forcing mechanism which tends to force the switching mechanism in the switched-off condition.

  • Patent number: 5675337
Abstract: A analog-to-digital converting device includes an analog-to-digital converting operation control unit for temporarily stopping an analog-to-digital converter in response to a trigger signal applied thereto and for restarting the analog-to-digital converter by imposing the operation conditions, which have been initially set up, on the analog-to-digital converter again. The device can forcefully terminate a scanning operation and restart analog-to-digital converting operations in a scan mode under the initially set up operating conditions without having to use an interrupt program executed by a CPU.

  • Patent number: 5270280
Abstract: A packing material for liquid chromatography is produced by mixing 1.0 part by weight of carbon black, 0.5 to 2.5 parts by weight of one or a mixture of a synthetic resin which can be graphitized by heating and a toluene- or benzene-soluble component of pitches, and an organic solvent to obtain a mixture. The carbon black has a particle diameter of 12 to 40 nm, a specific surface area of 50 to 650 m.sup.2 /g, a DBP oil absorption amount of 50 to 150 ml/100 g. The synthetic resin is one selected from phenol resin, furan resin, furfural resin, divinylbenzene resin and urea resin. The pitches are ones selected from petroleum pitches, coal-tar pitches and liquefied coal oil. The mixture is granulated by spray granulation or emulsion granulation to obtain granules whose ratio L.sub.min /L.sub.max of a minor axis diameter L.sub.min to a major axis diameter L.sub.max is 0.90 to 1.0. The heat treatment of the granules is also made in an inert gas under pressure.

  • Patent number: 5059754
Abstract: A switch structure suitable for a compact switch device is disclosed. The switch structure is formed of a push button, a switch body switched in correspondence with a pressing operation of the push body and a switch base or a switch holder holding these elements unitary, and a spring member which is elastically deformed in correspondance with the pressing operation of the push button is provided between the push button and the switch body. The switch holder has a fixing member detachably engaged with the switch body for fixing the switch body. The spring member provided between the push button and the switch body makes the pressing stroke longer by the amount of elastic deformation of the spring member. A fixing member provided in the holder fixes surely and easily the switch body in the holder.

  • Patent number: 5015811
Abstract: This invention provides a pushbutton switch which produces a click sound, the loudness of which is easily variable. In response to the vertical movement of operating cams of a pushbutton, a plate spring moves up and down. The moment when the edge of the operating cams trips over click spring portions of the plate spring, a force is applied to the plate spring so that the plate spring hits the inner top wall or bottom wall of a housing. In this manner, the pushbutton switch provides both a snap feeling and a click sound.

  • Patent number: 4217762
Abstract: The steps of handling ice cans in an ice making plant, such as placing the ice cans in alignment within one or more ice tanks, transferring ice cans each containing formed ice block to a stripping-off area, and placing and separating of the cover lid relative to ice can units, are automatically performed by an overhead travelling crane.Particularly, several ice can units are placed in the ice tank such that pairs of lugs provided on each ice can unit are arrayed in two straight lines to enable the overhead crane to selectively lift the ice cans.In order to produce high-quality ice blocks which are completely transparent through to the core portion thereof, each ice can is correlated with means for agitating ice making water contained therein and is connected with a piping for exchanging core water, in which impurities or foreign particles are likely to gather, with fresh water. The stripping-off of the ice blocks from the ice cans is also performed by an automatic system.
