  • Publication number: 20020086496
Abstract: A trench is formed by performing an anisotropic etching treatment on a silicon substrate with the use of a mask pattern including a pad oxide film, a polysilicon film, and a silicon nitride film formed on the silicon substrate, as a mask. Next, the side surface of the polysilicon film is retreated by etching so that the part of an oxide film formed on the side surface of the polysilicon film may not be hung over the part of an oxide film formed on the side surface of the pad oxide film. Next, an oxide film is formed by performing a thermal oxidation treatment on the inner wall surface of the trench including the exposed side surface of the polysilicon film. This produces a semiconductor device that prevents voids from being formed in a trench isolation structure.

  • Patent number: 5890077
Abstract: In a first aspect of the invention, when it is expected to disconnect a booster during a call, the station class mark is changed to that applicable when a portable telephone is used as an independent unit in accordance with a key input from the user before the initiation of the call. In a second aspect of the invention, the telephone number of the remote party is stored in a memory during a call. When a connection or disconnection of a booster is detected, the call is terminated, and a redialing operation is automatically performed using the stored telephone number. In a third aspect of the invention, when the connection of a booster is detected during a call, an instruction is given to the booster to operate in a portable telephone mode. In a fourth aspect of the invention, when the connection or disconnection of a booster is detected during a call, a request to change the station class mark is sent to the base station.

  • Patent number: 5664771
Abstract: A sheet feed mechanism includes first, second, and third feed rollers, first and second servo motors, a reverse roller, a torque limiter, a pick-up roller, and a plurality of photoelectric sensors. The first, second, and third feed rollers are respectively mounted on a feed path of sheets including mail pieces, on an upstream side of the first feed roller in the feed direction, and on the upstream side of the second feed roller in the feed direction, and are respectively rotated by the one-way clutches in only a feed direction. The first and second servo motors respectively drive the first and second feed rollers, and the second feed roller independently. The reverse roller is pressed against by the first feed roller through the feed path, and is driven to rotate in a counter feed direction. The torque limiter constantly applies a predetermined driving torque to the reverse roller in the counter feed direction.

  • Patent number: 4893804
Abstract: An apparatus applicable to a sheet article processing system for temporarily accumulating sheet articles which come in arbitrarily one by one or in a bunch and sending them out one by one at predetermined intervals. The apparatus includes a drive mechanism capable of starting and stopping the movement of a suction belt instantaneously, a sensor responsive to the leading edge of a sheet article which has been nipped by a downstream transport path, and a sensor responsive to the presence/absence of an interval between successive sheet articles which occurs between the downstream transport path and a reverse belt. Other sensors are provided for determining an interval between successive articles. A pick-up roller pair is driven at a controllable speed in matching relation to the interval between successive articles determined.
