  • Patent number: 8184553
Abstract: Packet transmission quality in a communication network is measured by transmitting a measurement packet from a packet transmission node to a packet reception node. The packet transmission node is provided with a transmission counter counting the number of packets transmitted from a packet transmission node to a packet reception node, and a measurement packet counter counting the number of measurement packets transmitted from the packet transmission node to the packet reception mode. The packet reception node is provided with a reception counter counting the number of packets received from the packet transmission node. The packet transmission node transmits a measurement packet including a transmission counter value and a measurement packet counter value, to the packet reception node which calculates the number of lost packets or a loss rate of packets on the basis of the transmission counter value, the measurement packet counter value, and a reception counter value.

  • Patent number: 7209486
Abstract: An address translator of a first communication station transmits to a second communication station a transmission frame that is sent from a terminal in the first communication station to a terminal in the second communication station and includes the virtual private address of the terminal, after the address translator translates the virtual private address into a corresponding real private address, while it determines the global address of the second communication station based on the virtual private address and applies it to the frame. The address translator of the second communication station that received the frame sends a content of the transmission frame to the terminal indicated by the real private address included in the transmission frame.

  • Publication number: 20030145066
Abstract: When a user accesses an original server using a user PC, a router in a center receives a user access request, and transmits it to a reception and authentication server, and inquires of a CDN management server whether or not the request can be accepted. When the CDN management server 1 determines that the user access request can be accepted, it detects a splitter/cache server geographically closest to the user PC, and passes a one-time password to the splitter/cache server. The user PC uses the one-time password to access the splitter/cache server, and successfully accesses the target contents.

  • Publication number: 20030088384
Abstract: An information reception unit of a chemical substance classification apparatus receives plural kinds of target change information on changes in a quantity of a plurality of chemical substances, applies a predetermined conversion to the target change information, and supplies them to a component analysis unit as a target signal group. The component analysis unit analyzes independent components of the target signal group by independent component analysis, and outputs a component signal group as the analysis result. An analogousness degree calculation unit applies a predetermined inversion to the component signal group, regards the inversion result as a plural kinds of component change information, and calculates analogousness degrees of each component change information with respect to each of the plural kinds of target change information.

  • Patent number: 6498431
Abstract: In a display panel, the luminance and contrast are improved by making a partition semitransparent, which is a constituent element adjacent to a light-emitting section. A visible light incident on the partition proceeds inside the partition while being attenuated at a constant rate. When an external light incident on the partition from the front side is reflected off the bottom surface of the partition and returns to the front side again, the external light reciprocates inside the partition. Since the external light is largely attenuated by the reciprocation, the partition seemingly functions as an optical absorber with respect to the external light. A light emitted by the light-emitting section can transmit through the partition and radiate to the outside from the front side.
