  • Patent number: 6524763
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a material which takes on a color or which changes its colors when selectively sensitized by ionizing radiation (especially by low doses of radiation) and which is not sensitive to visible and ultraviolet light etc. This is achieved by microcapsules containing a radiation sensitive composition comprising leuco compounds (a) and organic halogen compounds (b) as indispensable components.

  • Patent number: 6416174
Abstract: An ink composition having a pigment in its droplets, which are adhered onto the surface such as glass, ceramics or polyester resins of a base material, always dispersed uniformly is ejected from a nozzle by an ink-jet method to directly form a prescribed pattern of a colored layer of a color filter on the surface of the base material.

  • Patent number: 6262187
Abstract: Objects of the present invention are to provide colored coating compositions which can form easily a colored glass gel coating film being excellent in water resistance, boiling water resistance, alkali resistance, weather resistance, etc. at low temperatures on the outer surface of glass products, metal products, etc. and to provide colored coating compositions with which colored bottles having no haze can be obtained even if the bottles are coated in a high-humidity environment. The colored coating compositions according to the present invention comprise a sol-gel liquid obtained by polycondensation of phenyltrialkoxysilane or an oligomer thereof, acryl polyol, polyester polyol, polyether polyol and/or lower alkyl polyol (or the acryl polyol, the polyester polyol and/or the polyether polyol and a polyisocyanate resin), and an organic coloring agent.

  • Patent number: 5667888
Abstract: The composite layer according to the present invention comprises a substrate and a colored layer formed on the surface of this substrate. This colored layer contains a transparent layer and a coloring agent dispersed within the transparent layer, and this transparent layer is made of an inorganic gel or glass material, while the coloring agent contains dyes or pigments. The composite layers of the present invention are suitable for use in products such as construction materials with the appearance of marble, colored glass materials for decorative purposes, or color filters.
