  • Patent number: 10654479
Abstract: A lane deviation prevention control device for a vehicle includes a target steering torque calculator, a friction torque estimator, and a friction compensation rate variable controller. The target steering torque calculator calculates target steering torque to be applied to a steering system of an own vehicle in a lane deviation prevention control. The friction torque estimator estimates friction torque of the steering system. The friction compensation rate variable controller performs, on the basis of steering torque produced by a driver's steering operation and on the basis of a traveling state of the own vehicle, a variable control of an addition rate at which the friction torque is added to the target steering torque to compensate friction of the steering system.

  • Publication number: 20070236754
Abstract: A system controller includes an optical sensor that is arranged on a carriage and detects a tip and an edge of recording paper. The system controller moves, according to a detection signal, the carriage in a main scanning direction and the recording paper in a sub-scanning direction at predetermined timing to form an image on the recording paper. After detection of the tip of the recording paper before printing, the system controller moves the carriage in the main scanning direction until the optical sensor detects at least one edge of the recording paper to specify the position of the recording paper. Based on the specified position, the system controller adjusts a position on the recording paper where the image is to be formed.

  • Patent number: 6062369
Abstract: A bill accepting apparatus has a pair of photo-electronic sensors disposed spaced apart from each other on an imaginary line orthogonal to a bill transport direction. The leading edge of the bill being transported is detected at times T1 and T2 by the respective sensors. A time difference between T1 and T2 is compared with a predetermined value. From a known distance between the two sensors, a known bill transport speed and the time difference, the tilt angle of the leading edge can be determined. Analog outputs hyof the sensors are individually converted at a given frequency to first and second series of digital values. A CPU interrupt signal is obtained each time when both of each of the first and second series of digital values are obtained, and this interrupt signal initiates a skewed bill detecting task in a CPU.

  • Patent number: 5758759
Abstract: Apparatus and method for detecting a printed value sheet for printed value sheet validation apparatus is provided. Light is emitted from a light emitting element onto a first part of a printed value sheet on a first surface side thereof while the sheet is being transported so that a portion of the emitted light transmits through the sheet from the first surface side to a second surface side. The light having transmitted through the sheet to the second surface side is guided onto a second part of the sheet on the second surface side by a light guiding element so that a portion of the guided light transmits through the sheet back to the first surface side at the second part. A portion of the light so transmitted back to the first side is received by a light receiving element so as to be converted to an optical data pattern for analysis.
