  • Patent number: 7938724
Abstract: To improve game performance, in a three-dimensional video game in which a viewpoint position changes in accordance with a movement of a player character, considering an aspect of how to show a player an activation of a prescribed effect at a second object, forming a pair with a first object, for which the effect is set. In a case in which an action source object 201 and an action target object 202 are displayed, within a display range which changes in accordance with a movement of a player character, on a second LCD 12, on a front surface of which a touch panel is disposed, when a line drawing operation is carried out on the touch panel from a display position of the action source object 201 to a display position of the action target object 202, a speed at which the line drawing operation is being carried out is calculated.

  • Patent number: 6722729
Abstract: An automobile front pillar (1; 40; 50) includes, at a portion thereof positioned closely to a passenger compartment (16) of an automobile (10), a weak portion (27b; 47b; 62) for initiating the buckling of the front pillar upon application of a shock to that part of the front pillar positioned remotely from the compartment. When an obstacle collides with the front pillar portion positioned remotely from the compartment, the weak portion collapses by the resulting collision shock to cause the front pillar to buckle. The collision shock is partly absorbed by the buckling front pillar, whereby the shock applied to the obstacle is significantly damped.

  • Patent number: 5921449
Abstract: A spare tire cover covering a spare tire supported on a bracket fixed on a rear gate or the like of a vehicle includes a first sheet portion having an opening into which the bracket is inserted and for covering one side surface of the spare tire, a second sheet portion covering an outer peripheral surface of the spare tire, and a third sheet portion for covering another side surface of the spare tire. The opening is biased in a shrinking direction by means of elastic bands accommodated at a fringe and can be opened at three slits extending in a radial direction. The spare tire cover is positioned in a rotational direction by contacting a straight portion formed on an upper fringe of the opening with a straight spare tire cover supporting portion horizontally formed on an upper surface of the bracket. Thus, a tilt of a logotype or the like printed on the spare tire cover can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5586798
Abstract: Holders are mounted on the inner surfaces of respective bent end portions of a curved window glass panel for engaging respective guide surfaces on an attachment frame on an automobile body. When the curved window glass panel is pressed against the attachment frame, the holders are engaged and guided by the guide surfaces to bring the curved window glass panel into a predetermined position with respect to the attachment frame. Sealers are mounted on the inner surfaces of the bent end portions and on respective sealer retainers that are also disposed on the inner surfaces of the bent end portions. The sealers project in the direction in which the curved window glass panelets pressed against the attachment frame. When the curved window glass panel is pressed against the attachment frame, the sealers are securely pressed between the curved window glass panel and the attachment frame. Each of the sealer retainers extends along a peripheral edge of one of the bent end portions.
