Abstract: The present invention provides a laundry detergent sheet with significant improvements in solubility. That is, the invention provides a sheet of laundry detergent comprising a layer containing a detergent composition and a water-soluble substrate provided on both sides of the layer, wherein said layer comprises a water-soluble or disintegrating-in-water particle group, having an average particle diameter of 60 to 2000 &mgr;m, consisting of a particle group. The water-soluble or disintegrating-in-water particle group means less than 0.025 g of residue on a screen after 0.5 g of the particle group is introduced into 1 L water at 10° C., stirred at a revolution rate of 800 rpm for 10 minutes, and sifted through a screen of 200 mesh size.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a granular detergent composition having easy measurability and distributivity suitable for spoon measurement, a bulk density thereof being 500 g/L or more, containing a surfactant, a water-insoluble inorganic compound and a water-soluble salt, wherein the granular detergent composition has a variance of powder dropping rate V of 1.0 or less, an inserting pressure P of 80 gf/cm or less, a &Dgr; dropping ratio D of 14% of les, and an index K of from 30 to 230, the index K being represented by the equation: K=P×exp (0.135×D), wherein P stands for an inserting pressure (gf/cm), and D stands for a &Dgr; dropping ratio (%); and a process for preparing the same.

Abstract: An economical sheetlike article for laundry whose flexibility is excellent, of which sprinkling and loss of the content are small and wherein a water-soluble substrate having a low basis weight is used. Thus, the present invention provides a sheetlike article for laundry in which a layer containing at least one composition selected from the group consisting of a detergent composition, a fiber softener composition and a bleaching agent composition, is connected with a water-soluble substrate on the both sides of the said layer, and of which the flexibility parameter calculated by a specific method is from 3 to 6.

Abstract: This invention provides a liquid detergent composition comprising (A) a surface active agent, (B) a pearlescent agent, and (C) a viscosity modifier, which exhibits an opaque appearance and has a viscosity of 200-4,000 cps at 20.degree. C. bulk temperature and a Brookfield yield value of 5-100 p. This detergent composition can be squeezed from a container at a constant volume and can be perceived visually when applied onto a sponge without being soaked quickly into it so that it is not only economical since it prevents excess usage but also helps to prevent chapped hands or skin roughening.

Abstract: A neutral liquid detergent composition is disclosed. The composition comprises: (a) 2-60% by weight of an alkyl glycoside; (b) 0.1-10% by weight of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of less than 5; (c) 0.1-10% by weight of a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of not less than 5; and (d) 0.001-8% by weight of one or more water-soluble organic or inorganic salts. The composition exhibits reduced irritation and damage to the hair or the skin, and high foaming ability. It imparts a favorable feeling upon use. After washing, the detergent components can easily be rinsed off leaving the least amount of water on the washed tableware.

The detergent composition comprises, as essential components, (a) alkyl glycoside and (b) a specific type of dicarboxylic acid surface active agent at a specific ratio. The detergent composition is low irritant, has excellent foaming power and detergency, and yet is easily rinsed out and at the same time provides a pleasant feeling to the hands during use. It can be used as laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents, as well as detergents for use with household articles, and hair and body.

Abstract: A detergent composition which comprises(a) at least one surfactant and(b) at least one starch debranching enzyme selected from the group consisting of pullulanase, isopullulanase and isoamylase, is disclosed.The detergent composition of the invention may further contain .alpha.-amylase, as component (c).The detergent composition of the invention shows significantly improved starchy dirt detergency.

The detergent composition comprises, as essential components, (a) alkyl glycoside, (b) a surface active agent containing sulfate and/or sulfonate group, (c) an amine oxide, and (d) an ethoxylated surface active agent at a specific ratio. The detergent composition is low irritant, has excellent foaming ability and detergency, and yet is easily rinsed out and at the same time provides a pleasant feeling to the hands during use. It can be used as laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents, as well as detergents for use with household products, and hair and body. Further, a detergent composition comprising (e) a terpene type hydrocarbon and (f) 3-isothiazolone or its derivative in addition to the above components (a)-(d) is more valuable in practical use owing to preventing solution color and odor from being deteriorated during storage for a prolonged period of time.
