  • Patent number: 7367917
Abstract: An automotive shift change control system and automatic transmission system is provided to give passengers a comfortable feeling of shift changing or of driving. A transmission connects a vehicle-driving engine, an electrical rotary machine, and axles via a differential gearbox, transmits the power of the engine to the axles via the electrical rotary machine during a shift change, and conducts the shift change. The automotive shift change control unit that controls the change gear ratio of the transmission includes a driving force controller to control the driving force of the electrical rotary machine, a shift-changing speed controller to send a driving force command from the electrical rotary machine to the driving force controller, and a target shift-changing speed changeover device to output the target shift-changing speed that becomes a target value of the shift-changing speed controlled by the shift-changing speed controller.

  • Patent number: 7331897
Abstract: The object of the invention is to provide a less expensive active transmission control system for an automobile, capable of disconnecting an engine, without increasing the number of dog clutches. In an active shift transmission, a second intermediate shaft is provided between a transmission input shaft connected with an engine and a transmission output shaft, and the transmission ratio is determined by the product of gear ratios of two sets of transmission gears. Further, a differential gear box is connected between both intermediate shafts and a motor is connected to the third shat of this differential gear box, so that the engine torque is borne by the motor on a temporary basis, whereby active transmission is performed. When the transmission gear of the input shaft is released, the engine rotation loss at the time of regenerative braking can be eliminated by disconnecting the engine.

  • Publication number: 20070197343
Abstract: A transmission system in a vehicle using a motor to transmit power can assist acceleration by generating auxiliary engine power during acceleration in addition to gear changing by the motor. In this system, however, the acceleration assistance is interrupted in gear changing since the motor power is used to drive a vehicle when a gear-shifting is made. In a conventional geared transmission mechanism, the torque decreases after a gear change for up-shifting is made. If acceleration assistance is added, the torque reduction in shifting becomes greater and gives uncomfortable shocks and feelings to the driver. Torque transition is conducted along a torque transmission route of dog clutch, second intermediate shaft, motor, first intermediate shaft, and gear position of first intermediate shaft before shifting.
