  • Publication number: 20060208374
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a lens sheet including: a mold making process in which the flexible mold used for molding the lens portion is made; a resin pouring process in which the resin for the lens portion is poured and filled in between the mold and the glass substrate; a resin curing process in which the resin for the lens portion is cured; and a mold releasing process in which the one edge of the mold is pulled up and bended the body thereof to be separated from the glass substrate completely.

  • Publication number: 20060203332
Abstract: The lens sheet of the present embodiment comprises a lens portion which is formed on one side of the lens sheet and has a microrelief surface, a substrate which is arranged on the opposite side to the microrelief surface and supports the lens portion, and a buffer layer which is sandwiched between the lens portion and the substrate and has a smaller storage elastic modulus than those of the lens portion and the substrate. The lens portion can be divided into plurality of sub-portions, each of which has a discrete bottom attaching to the buffer layer, and is supported independently by the buffer layer.

  • Publication number: 20060126173
Abstract: There is provided a rear projection screen for transmitting image light. The rear projection screen has a plurality of single lenses arrayed evenly on an incident plane for inputting the image light and having focal points in the vicinity of an outgoing plane of the rear projection screen, an incident-side black matrix, formed in lens boundaries where the plurality of single lenses adjoin each other, for blocking the image light incident on the lens boundaries and an outgoing-side black matrix in which an opening centering on an optical axis of the single lens is formed in the vicinity of each focal point of the plurality of single lenses in the vicinity of the outgoing plane of the rear projection screen.

  • Publication number: 20050195489
Abstract: A lens which has a plurality of protrusions and cavities includes a core layer having a cross sectional shape smaller than and similar to a cross sectional shape of the lens; and a skin layer, which covers the core layer, having a smaller storage modulus of elasticity than that of said core layer. The lens may further include a substrate for fixing the core layer on a surface thereof, the substrate having tabular shape being made of a light-transmitting material.
