  • Patent number: 10253492
Abstract: A column and beam connection structure for connecting a steel H-beam to a column uses an external diaphragm. The external diaphragm includes a plurality of divided diaphragm segments such that each diaphragm segment has a column plate abutting on the column. A diaphragm segment which is arranged along the steel H-beam among the plurality of divided diaphragm segments has a beam plate installed in a flange of the steel H-beam. The beam plate has an end portion in which the column plate is provided. A joining surface between the diaphragm segments is placed in a vicinity of a corner portion of the column so that only the column plate of one of the diaphragm segments abuts on each column surface of the column. A joining member fastens to fix between the diaphragm segments such that contact pressure is applied from the column plates to the surface of the column.

  • Patent number: 9586514
Abstract: In a vehicle with a load-carrying platform, an elastic band is provided so a rear portion of a tailgate and a rear portion of a bed extender enter a tensioned state. A rotation regulation mechanism is provided to the tailgate and the bed extender that regulates further rotational movement by the tailgate and the bed extender making contact when the tailgate is rotated towards a closed position. The bed extender and the tailgate are prevented from rotating in the same direction by the rotation regulation mechanism, and the load on the elastic band is mitigated.

  • Patent number: 9132732
Abstract: A straddled vehicle is equipped with a charging port structure in which a charging port is fixedly disposed within a recess provided in a wall member. A base end part of a cover member capable of closing the charging port is pivotably supported at a position adjacent to the charging port, and a lid is capable of closing the recess so as to cover the cover member from the outside is pivotably supported on the wall member. A retaining member retains a closed state of the lid in response to the lid being closed. A releasing member is operable so as to release the retention of the closed state of the lid by the retaining member. A coupling member is operable in association with the operation of the retaining member when closing the lid, and pivots the cover member toward the closing side.

  • Patent number: 8970356
Abstract: A vehicle approach notification apparatus for an electric motorcycle, which outputs notification sound for notifying a walker or the like of approach of a vehicle from a speaker attached to a vehicle body includes a control unit for controlling the notification sound. The control unit is attached to a position, displaced rather forwardly of the vehicle body, of a bottom face in an accommodating box disposed below a seat of the electric motorcycle. A cover plate, which configures part of the bottom of the accommodating box, is removably disposed above the control unit. A low voltage battery as a power supply for auxiliaries is accommodated on the bottom of the accommodating box displaced rather rearwardly of the vehicle body from the control unit. The cover plate is disposed so as to cover an upper portion of the low voltage battery in flush with an upper face of the control unit.
