Patent number: 10299414Abstract: [Problem to be Solved] A technical object is to develop a novel cooling mechanism for a data center that can be operated at low running costs, can eliminate dust penetration, water droplet occurrence, and water leakage, can reduce temperature unevenness in the indoor space, and can achieve prompt fire extinction with little damage even in the case where a fire breaks out. [Solution] Provided is a cooling mechanism for a data center, including: an evaporative condenser and a liquid receiver arranged outside of the data center; and an evaporator arranged in an indoor space of the data center. The indoor space is cooled by evaporating a refrigerant in the evaporator, and the refrigerant is condensed by the evaporative condenser.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2014Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignees: INSTITUTE OF NATIONAL COLLEGES OF TECHNOLOGYInventors: Hiroyuki Shiraiwa, Hidetoshi Kaneo

Patent number: 6616511Abstract: A grinding head unit is constituted by a grinding wheel, a drive device for rotating the grinding wheel, and a movement device for moving the grinding wheel. When vibration of a mill roll is applied to the grinding wheel, a plain wheel integral with an abrasive layer of the grinding wheel and having an elastically deforming function is deflected to absorb the vibration energy. The contact force between the abrasive layer and the mill roll is measured for determining a profile of the mill roll. The mill roll can be thereby ground into a target profile while absorbing the vibration transmitted from the mill roll and measuring the profile of the mill roll, without causing any chattering marks.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2001Date of Patent: September 9, 2003Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Shigeru Mori, Shigetoshi Kondoh, Tadashi Nishino, Yasutsugu Yoshimura, Yasuharu Imagawa, Hiroyuki Shiraiwa

Patent number: 5560237Abstract: To eliminate a vertically asymmetrical deflection, a rolling mill comprises a device for measuring horizontal deflections of upper and lower work rolls 2, 3 during rolling, a device for comparing values measured on the upper and lower sides and calculating the difference therebetween, and a horizontal deflection controller four determining whether the difference exceeds a predetermined range or not and imparting a horizontal bending to at least one of the work rolls. To eliminate a transversely asymmetrical deflection, a rolling mill comprises a device for measuring horizontal deflections of at least one of the work rolls at axially spaced positions during rolling, a device for comparing values measured on at the axially spaced positions and calculating the difference therebetween, and a horizontal deflection controller for determining whether the difference exceeds a predetermined range or not and imparting a horizontal bending to the one work roll at least one of the axially spaced positions.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 1994Date of Patent: October 1, 1996Inventors: Kenichi Yasuda, Yukio Hirama, Kenjiro Narita, Koji Satou, Yoshio Takakura, Hiroyuki Shiraiwa

Patent number: 5406817Abstract: A rolling mill has a work roll and a back-up roll for supporting the work roll vertically and driving it. A plurality of horizontal support rollers contact the work roll at barrel diameter outside the rolling region and at a both horizontal sides of the work roll and act to fix the position of the work roll in both horizontal directions during rolling and to oppose horizontal rolling forces. In order to reduce the bending of the work roll during rolling, there are provided means for applying horizontal counterbending forces to the work roll comprising members e.g. rollers, contacting the work roll at locations axially further from the rolling region than the support rollers and actuator means for urging the members against the work roll. The counterbending forces being in the same direction as the net horizontal force applied to said work roll by said back-up roll and the material being rolled.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 1992Date of Patent: April 18, 1995Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshio Takakura, Toshiyuki Kajiwara, Hiroyuki Shiraiwa, Kenichi Yasuda, Yukio Hirama
