  • Patent number: 5586456
Abstract: In a dry cleaner, after clothes 2 is washed, the washing solvent contained in the washed clothes 2 is dissolved into a liquid perfluorocarbon 4a being heated at its boiling point or thereabout in order to remove the washing solvent. Thereafter, drying of the clothes 2 is performed by mainly aiming to evaporate the liquid perfluorocarbon 4a contained in the clothes 2. Since the drying is targeted on the liquid perfluorocarbon, the time required for drying clothes can markedly reduced.

  • Patent number: 5586523
Abstract: The present invention provides a crankcase compression type two-cycle engine which has a comparatively simple construction, is capable of operating at a low fuel consumption and discharges an exhaust gas having a comparatively low hydrocarbon concentration. The engine comprises a crankcase, a piston, a cylinder joined to the crankcase and provided in its lower part with an exhaust port which is opened and closed by the piston, a cylinder head attached to the upper end of the cylinder, and forming a combustion chamber together with the cylinder and the piston. A poppet scavenging valve is provided in the upper part of the cylinder so as to be opened to the combustion chamber side. A diaphragm actuator operates the poppet scavenging valve using the pressure within the crankcase. The diaphragm actuator is provided with a diaphragm that receives the pressure within the crankcase on one side thereof and receives the pressure of a spring on the other side thereof.

  • Patent number: 5578208
Abstract: A filter for flitrating molten resin of the invention includes: a cylindrical filtering member formed with a large number of projections and recesses; and radially arranged rods in a supporter for supporting the cylindrical filtering member at arc-shaped projected portions, and is constructed such that molten resin material is allowed to pass through the filtering member at arc-shaped recessed portions. In this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the resistance of thermoplastic molten resin filter against filtering pressure as well as to ensure a large filtering area. Further, the filter may be constructed such that the cross-section of the aforementioned cylindrical member is made greater from the upstream side toward the downstream side. By this configuration, the flow rate of molten resin passing through the unit area of the filtering member is made uniform and consequently the collecting capacity of foreign substances is increased.

  • Patent number: 5282500
Abstract: A container filling apparatus makes it possible to discharge liquid stagnating within a filling valve. The filling valve is lowered towards a container being conveyed. Then a liquid passageway gating section is opened by pressing a bell-shaped member of the filling valve against the container, and liquid thus fills the container. The net amount of the contents to fill the container can be adjusted by vertically moving at least one of a filler liquid tank and a stopper member which limits the lower position of an intermediate spring bracket supporting a second elastic body for biasing a valve body upwardly with respect to a loading table on which the containers are supported. In addition, it is possible to open the liquid passageway gating section by lowering the filling valve with an external force. Therefore, liquid stagnating in the passageway of the filling valve can be discharged.
