Abstract: An optical wiring unit includes a tray, an operating member supported by the tray and that moves in a front-rear direction of the optical wiring unit as a reference to a neutral position, a slide piece including a latch, and one or more springs that bias the operating member toward the neutral position. The slide piece slides with respect to the operating member between a restriction position and a release position. A protrusion amount of the slide piece from the operating member at the release position is smaller than a protrusion amount of the slide piece from the operating member at the restriction position. The slide piece is disposed at the restriction position when the operating member is at the neutral position and slides toward the release position when the operating member moves in the front-rear direction from the neutral position.

Abstract: An optical wiring unit includes: a tray that includes a bottom plate; and a lid body that includes a top plate facing the bottom plate in an up-down direction. An accommodating space that accommodates an optical fiber is formed between the bottom plate and the top plate. one of the tray and the lid body includes: an outer wall portion; and an inner wall portion inside the accommodating space with respect to the outer wall portion. The other of the tray and the lid body includes an intermediate wall portion inserted between the outer wall portion and the inner wall portion. The inner wall portion has a dimension in the up-down direction smaller than that of the outer wall portion.

Abstract: A ferrule with a fiber of this disclosure includes: a ferrule including a positioning hole, a plurality of fiber holes, and an endface perpendicular to an axial direction of the fiber holes; a lensed fiber with a GRIN lens that has been fusion spliced to a tip of an optical fiber; and a plate that can transmit light propagating through the optical fiber, the plate being attached to the endface of the ferrule, the plate being contacted against with an endface of the lensed fiber that has been inserted into each of the fiber holes, wherein the ferrule is formed with a recess that is depressed from the endface of the ferrule, a refractive index matching material is filled in a space surrounded with the plate and the recess.

Abstract: [Problem] A configuration is provided to suppress optical loss without providing a lens in the ferrule, and to make the filling operation of refractive index matching material easy with such a configuration.
