  • Patent number: 9636987
Abstract: A hybrid vehicle is provided in which in the neutral range or the parking range, power can be generated in a first power generation mode by engaging an odd-numbered position clutch so as to transmit a driving force of an engine to a motor/generator via a first input shaft, and power can be generated in a second power generation mode by engaging an even-numbered position clutch so as to transmit the driving force of the engine to the motor/generator via reversing means and the first input shaft. Therefore, according to the status of the odd-numbered position clutch and the even-numbered position clutch, by engaging either one thereof, it becomes possible to generate power in the first power generation mode or the second power generation mode, thus enabling power to be supplied without interruption.

  • Patent number: 8515631
Abstract: A driving force margin of a vehicle is calculated on the basis of an engine load, vehicle speed, travel resistance and estimated uphill gradient. A gear is determined on the basis of predetermined gear shifting characteristics at least from the vehicle speed and the engine load in an automatic shift mode. Automatic down shift is generated in the case where the vehicle speed becomes lower than vehicle speed on an automatic down shift vehicle speed table set up in accordance with the gear when the operation is switched from the automatic shift mode to a manual shift mode. The automatic down shift vehicle speed table is corrected so as to shift an automatic down shift line to a high vehicle speed side or low vehicle speed side in accordance with the magnitude of the calculated driving force margin of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7597021
Abstract: A control apparatus of a vehicular automatic transmission includes a control device designed to control gear changes of the transmission on the basis of operation or control signals from a first manual gearshifting part and a second manual gearshifting part. When it determines a multiple operation of the first and second manual gearshifting parts, the control device executes the operation signal from the first manual gearshifting part.

  • Patent number: 7533652
Abstract: A control device for a vehicle for cooperatively controlling the engagement of a lock-up clutch and the conditions of fuel cut. When the rotational speed of an input shaft of a transmission becomes greater than a predetermined value during deceleration running in the condition where a throttle valve is fully closed, the lock-up clutch is engaged. Thereafter, the fuel cut start engine speed increased by a predetermined value is changed to a normal fuel cut start engine speed, at which the fuel cut is started. Accordingly, engine brake can be produced at a lower vehicle speed as compared with the prior art.

  • Patent number: 6024663
Abstract: Measurement is made of a time of lapse from the time at which the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic engaging element on engaging side to be engaged at the time of speed changing has increased to a predetermined pressure. Even if an input and output speed ratio of the transmission does not fall within a predetermined range, i.e., a range between YG(N+1)L and YG(N+1)H, which serves as a basis for judging whether the speed changing has been completed or not, a processing of speed change completion is performed when the above-described value TMSTB-TM has reached a predetermined value YTMUP4, to boost the ON pressure to the line pressure.

  • Patent number: 5992255
Abstract: In a control apparatus for a hydraulically operated vehicular transmission having a plurality of speed stages to be established by a selecting operation of a plurality of hydraulic clutches, when a command to downshift to G(N-2) is issued in the course of downshifting to G(N-1) and a flag FTBD is set to 1, a control is performed to accelerate the time of completion of the downshifting control to G(N-1). When that oil temperature in the transmission which is detected by an oil temperature sensor is lower than a predetermined value, the setting of FTBD to 1 is prohibited. Therefore, at the time of low oil temperature, the downshifting to G(N-1) is performed in an ordinary manner. At the time of starting of the downshifting control from G(N-1) to G(N-2), the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic clutch for the speed stage G(N-1) is sufficiently increased. A smooth downshifting to G(N-2) can thus be smoothly performed without the occurrence of excessive engine racing.
