Abstract: Provided is a method for preventing metal contamination during cutting of a polycrystalline silicon rod. A method for cutting a polycrystalline silicon rod (S) includes the step of cutting the polycrystalline silicon rod (S) by using a cutting tool (133). The step of cutting includes: delivering a liquid (L1) to a cutting position of the polycrystalline silicon rod (S) through a first nozzle (14); and delivering a liquid (L2) to a surface of the polycrystalline silicon rod (S) through a second nozzle (15).

Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention, contaminants contained in polycrystalline silicon are removed to obtain highly-pure polycrystalline silicon, with only a small amount of etching. Polycrystalline silicon is washed with use of: a first washing step of bringing fluonitric acid into contact with the polycrystalline silicon; and a second washing step of bringing a non-oxidizing chemical containing hydrofluoric acid into contact with the polycrystalline silicon that has undergone the first washing step.

Abstract: The present invention aims at providing an insurance contract accounting system capable of reducing waste of document papers for insurance application and eliminating labors of drawing up the necessary documents in the insurance agencies and companies (including their sales branches) while taking advantage of the conventional face-to-face sales of insurance. An insurance contract management device 2 of the insurance company is connected to a terminal unit 3 of an insurance agent through a network 4, so that upon reception of agent authentication information from the terminal unit 3, the management device forwards to the terminal unit 3 an insurance application form for letting the agent enter insurance-related information data thereinto and receives confirming information from the terminal unit 3 upon filling in the application form, thereby to account for conclusion of the insurance contract.
