  • Patent number: 9512851
Abstract: If a fan motor in a stopped state remains stopped even when it is powered on, restart processing of the fan motor is carried out by rotating the fan motor forward and backward. If the fan motor rotates as a result of the restart processing, an indication to prompt replacement of it is displayed. If the fan motor remains stopped without rotating, in contrast, it is determined to be defective, and an electronic apparatus is stopped.

  • Patent number: 9516310
Abstract: Frames of a moving image are configured as a hierarchical structure where each frame is represented with a plurality of resolutions. Some layers are set as original image layers, and the other layers are set as difference image layers in hierarchical data representing a frame at each time step. In the case that an area is to be displayed in the resolution of the difference image layer, to respective pixel values of a difference image of the area, respective pixel values of an image of a corresponding area retained by the original image layer of lower resolution, the image enlarged to the resolution of the difference image layer, are added. A layer to be set as a difference image layer is switched to another layer as time passes.

  • Patent number: 9516195
Abstract: A decoloring apparatus includes a reading section that reads the image formed on a sheet and generates image data corresponding to the read image. A decoloring section decolors the image formed on the sheet. If the reading section reads only a portion of the image formed on the sheet due to an error, the image data corresponding to the read portion of the image is stored. After the error is resolved, the sheet is conveyed to the reading section again to read a remainder portion of the image that was not initially read in the reading section and to generate image data corresponding to the remainder portion of the image. The image data corresponding to the read portion of the image is combined with the image data corresponding to the remainder portion of the image.
