    Abstract: A method of readily realizing electronic payment service at low cost with a high level of convenience and security for a consumer is disclosed. A personal information input terminal notifies a purchase price, an MSN (Mobile Subscriber Number) of an MS (Mobile Station), and personal information for identifying a purchaser through a public mobile communication network to request payment processing. A payment center device compares the information from the personal information input terminal with personal information stored in the device to determine whether the purchaser is qualified for electronic payment. If the purchaser is qualified for electronic payment, the payment center device notifies the MS of the purchase price with the MSN to request the purchaser to verify the purchase price.

In each gateway, data stored in a predetermined information server connected to the communication network is obtained in response to a request from the mobile terminal; the format of the obtained data is converted according to restrictions on resources of the mobile terminal; load imposed on predetermined processes including the data obtainment and the format conversion is measured; and load data indicating information relating to the measured load is sent. In a mobile communication control apparatus for selecting one of the gateways, the load data communicated from each gateway is stored, and when receiving a request for obtaining the data stored in the information server from the mobile terminal, the apparatus selects a gateway based on the load data.

    Abstract: A mobile communication system which can restrict incoming calls to a mobile communication exchange in a traffic congestion state and can omit wasteful processing for connecting a path to a restricting exchange is provide. When a exchange has detected that it is the traffic congestion state, the exchange instruct this state to a location register to indicate that incoming calls to that exchange are to be restricted. When other exchange has received a call request to a mobile station, the exchange acquires information to the location register for the call. When it is found that the location information of the mobile station is the area which is controlled by the incoming call restricting exchange, a call processing for the call is interrupted.

    Abstract: A roaming terminal enciphers a subscriber's number thereof using a public key of a home network and sends the enciphered subscriber's number to the home network via a roamed network. The home network deciphers the enciphered subscriber's number using a secret key to derive the subscriber's number. The home network generates a temporary authentication key and enciphers it using a public key of the roaming terminal corresponding to the subscriber's number. Then, the home network notifies the temporary authentication key and the enciphered temporary authentication key to the roamed network which then notifies the roaming terminal of the enciphered temporary authentication key and a random number generated at the roamed network. Then, an authentication process for the roaming terminal is performed between the roaming terminal and the roamed network using the random number, the temporary authentication key and the enciphered temporary authentication key.

    Abstract: A mobile communication terminal authenticating system for renewing an authenticating key without transmitting the authenticating key between the mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication network is provided. In the mobile communication terminal 1, a calculating circuit 1c executes a calculation F on the basis of a random number generated by a PN (Pseudo Noise) oscillator 3a of a switching center 3 and an authenticating key held by a memory 1b, and its calculating result is transmitted to the switching center 3. In the switching center 3, a comparator 3c compares its calculating result with a result of the calculation F executed on the basis of the random number and the authenticating key received from the home location register 4 by a calculating circuit 3b. If the two calculating results coincide with each other, the authenticating key renewal instruction is transmitted from the control circuit 3d to the mobile communication terminal 1.
