  • Patent number: 4757244
Abstract: A rod member provided with magnetic and non-magnetic portion arranged alternatingly is provided and a plurality of detecting heads for detecting magnetic resistance are disposed along the longitudinal direction of the rod member with predetermined distances, respectively. The pitches of the respective pairs of the magnetic and non-magnetic portions are arranged with pitches different with each other by the predetermined distances. Output signals transmitted from the detecting heads in accordance with the relative movement between the rod member and the detecting heads are detected by phase detectors, and on the basis of the detected signals, the predetermined operation is carried out in an operation processing unit thereby to obtain the absolute positional relation between the rod member and the detecting heads in, for example, of a positioning system such as in a die casting machine.

  • Patent number: 4563744
Abstract: A starting position of high speed injection is adjusted by an apparatus comprising a position detector which detects the stroke position of an injection plunger and a computer calculating a first position of the injection plunger at which a high speed injection instruction is given and a second position of the injection plunger at which the injection plunger actually reaches a desired speed. A data input device is provided for presetting in the computer the actual starting position of the injection machine, a theoretical value of a time lag between a starting instruction and an actual starting, and a predicted low injection speed. The computer calculates high speed injection starting speed based on the preset data.

  • Patent number: 4559991
Abstract: In a method and system of controlling an injection molding machine in which molten metal in an injection cylinder is injected into a metal mold by an injection plunger operated by an oil pressure operator and in which pressurized oil is supplied to the oil pressure operator through adjustable valve means actuated by actuator means, various factors relating to an injection condition are measured and an injection command signal is calculated based on the measured factors for providing a predetermined injection pattern. The actuator means is operated by the injection command signal so as to adjust the adjustable valve means to a degree of opening necessary to establish an optimum injection condition.

  • Patent number: 4401851
Abstract: A speech recognition circuit in which acoustic power spectrum data corresponding to an input speech signal are sequentially generated, a vowel segment is determined based on the acoustic power spectrum data, and a vowel and a consonant are recognized based on the respective acoustic power spectrum data in the vowel segment and outside the vowel segment. The vowel segment is determined by first detecting a vowel prospective period in which the acoustic power spectrum data exceed a preset value, sequentially calculating the correlation of two successively generated acoustic power spectrum data to detect a stable vowel power spectrum data which provides a maximum correlation, and then calculating the correlation of the stable vowel power spectrum data and each of other acoustic power spectrum data in the vowel prospective period to detect a period in which the correlation is larger than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4380801
Abstract: In apparatus for measuring injection speed of an injection molding machine having a piston rod reciprocated by an injection cylinder of the injection molding machine, a plunger rod having, at an end thereof, a plunger tip slidably received in a plunger sleeve connected to a die, and a plunger coupling for interconnecting the plunger rod and the piston rod, the plunger coupling is provided with a projection. A proximity switch detects the projection while the plunger coupling moves. In accordance with the output of the proximity switch, the speed of the plunger coupling is computed.

  • Patent number: 4335778
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring injection speeds of a die casting machine comprises a detecting device for detecting injection times at low and high speed injection strokes, calculating elements for calculating low and high injection speeds by dividing the low and high injection strokes by the injection times, and displaying elements for displaying the low and high injection speeds as average injection speeds. The injection time detecting device includes an elongated member having different magnetic characteristics, an element responsive to the characteristics to generate pulse signal, low and high speed injection limit switches, and a discriminating element for discriminating the period of the signal generated by the pulse signal generating element. The injection speeds of the die casting machine can be measured and displayed by the interrelative operations of the elements and devices described above.
