Patent number: 7555000Abstract: The present invention relate to a digital broadcast system, and it is an object of the invention to record contents quickly in a broadcast system which implements interactivity by transmitting a set of data repeatedly, wherein a digital broadcast receiver separates a table corresponding to video images from streams in an arbitrary order and repeats the processing of memorizing the video image data to be identified in the order of obtaining the same by means of the table corresponding to the video images until all of the set of video images have been memorized. This allows for performing, in a short time, storage process of video image data broadcast for the purpose of efficient reproduction by a receiver having no storage function. Additionally, the data is available to viewers at any time after the completion of storage thereof.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2005Date of Patent: June 30, 2009Assignee: Panasonic CorporationInventors: Tatsuya Shimoji, Masahiro Oashi, Hiroyuki Waki, Junichi Hirai

Patent number: 7378996Abstract: There provided is a low-cost, high performance sampling rate conversion calculating apparatus which achieves both a low delay characteristic required for conversational voice data and high quality required for audio data in a concurrent manner. A first digital signal processing section outputs conversational voice data, which requires the low delay characteristic, in accordance with a sampling frequency of an output terminal (111). A second digital signal processing section outputs audio data, which requires the high quality, rather than the low density characteristic, in accordance with the sampling frequency of the output terminal (111). An adder section (107) adds the conversational voice data outputted from the first digital signal processing section and the audio data outputted from the second digital signal processing section and outputs the added data from the output terminal (111).Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2005Date of Patent: May 27, 2008Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Hiroyuki Waki

Patent number: 6799315Abstract: A Just-In-Time compiler is provided for use with a virtual machine that executes a virtual machine instruction sequence under the control of a real machine. The compiler converts parts of the virtual machine instruction sequence into the real machine instruction sequence before execution and includes a block start information unit that determines whether the encoded block start information indicates a corresponding virtual machine instruction would correspond to the start of a basic block if the virtual machine instruction sequence was divided into basic blocks. A converting unit converts the virtual machine instructions into real machine instruction sequences and an outputting unit rearranges the real machine instruction sequences from the converting unit into basic blocks in accordance with the block start information. Additionally, the compiler can be enabled by a program stored on a computer readable recording medium.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2003Date of Patent: September 28, 2004Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Publication number: 20030217246Abstract: The present invention provides a memory control apparatus capable of efficiently reducing power consumption. The memory control apparatus controls power consumption for refreshing on a unit region-by-unit region basis. A determination section 22 receives an allocate request from an application and determines whether or not data requires refreshing based on the allocate request. Next, a memory allocating section 23 allocates a memory region within a first memory bank to data having been determined to require refreshing and allocates amemory region within a second memory bank to data having been determined to require no refreshing. A memory control section 25 specifies the first memory bank as a refresh region for refreshing and specifies the second memory region as a non-refresh region which is prevented from being refreshed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2003Publication date: November 20, 2003Inventors: Kenichi Kubota, Hiroyuki Waki, Junichiro Soeda, Masashige Mizuyama
