  • Publication number: 20070117960
Abstract: A polyimide compound crosslinked with a polyamine which is soluble in the specific solvent is produced by dehydration and condensation of amino acid or salt thereof and polyamine in an organic solvent under the presence of protonic acid. In the case of using a polyamine having low solubility to an organic solvent such as lysine and ornithine, the reaction rate of the polymerization can be increased by adding a polyamine in the step before or at the initial step of polymerization because water which is contained in the raw material or produced in the dehydration reaction serves as a good solvent for the polyamine.

  • Patent number: 6743959
Abstract: An economical and industrial method for the dehydrogenation of triisopropyl benzene can be provided by carrying out the reaction employing a solid catalyst having an iron compound and potassium compound as major components or an iron compound, potassium compound, and magnesium compound as major components, as a dehydrogenating catalyst for producing diisopropyl isopropenyl benzene, isopropyl diisopropenyl benzene and/or triisopropenyl benzene from triisopropyl benzene. In the dehydrogenation of triisopropyl benzene or diisopropyl benzene, by carrying out an off-and-on reaction in which the above described solid catalyst is employed and with which a regeneration period with steam or oxygen or air is provided, an economical and industrial dehydrogenation method having an extended life of the catalyst can be provided and will have an industrial superiority.

  • Patent number: 5082972
Abstract: At least one of ammonia and ethylenediamine is reacted with monoethanolamine in the presence of a catalyst containing phosphoric acid or its condensate in order to prepare acyclic ethyleneamines, and the catalyst can be improved in performance and the life of the catalyst can be prolonged by feeding a phosphorus-containing material to a reaction system during the reaction. In addition, the catalyst having a deteriorated performance can be reactivated by adding the phosphorus-containing material to the catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4115074
Abstract: A gasification process for forming a gas mixture containing hydrogen wherein a hydrocarbon including a heavy residual oil is atomized with a mixture of an oxygen-containing gas and steam in an atomizing zone, the formed jet streams containing the atomized hydrocarbon drops are introduced to the catalyst bed while adjusting the residence time in the atomizing zone to 0.05 to 5 seconds, substantially without forming eddy currents and the reaction is carried out at a temperature of at least 850.degree. C. to form said gas mixture while avoiding deposition of solid carbon on said catalyst bed.
