Abstract: In an unmanned retail shop system, an user side information terminal, a retail shop side information terminal, and a settlement agency side information terminal are connected with each other through a network. The user side information terminal has not only means for selecting goods to be purchased and for transmitting information of the purchased goods to the retail shop side information terminal but also means for transmitting information of settlement account thereto. The retail shop side information terminal has a container for containing goods. The retail shop side information terminal further has means for transmitting, to the settlement agency side information terminal, not only information of request of drawing the money charged for the purchased goods but also information of request of transferring the money into the retail shop's account.

Abstract: A sender information terminal 1 transmits a document mail needing a content certification to a sender information terminal 2, and transmits a copy of the document mail to a server 4 of a content certifying provider, and the sender information terminal 2, when receiving the document mail and confirming that it is the document mail needing the content certification, returns a reply mail to the sender information terminal 1, and transmits a copy of the reply mail to the server 4 of the content certifying provider, and the server 4 of the content certifying provider compares the copy of the document mail from the sender information terminal 1 with the copy of the reply mail from the receiver information terminal 2, and transmits the comparison result report to both the sender information terminal 1 and the receiver information terminal 2, and then performs a charging operation on the sender information terminal 1, in accordance with a charging information.

Abstract: A custom-made product providing system allowing a customer to easily select desired components from a wide variety of components is disclosed. A plurality of component maker servers is connected on the Internet, each of which provides component information of a component made by a corresponding component maker on the computer network. A manufacturer server provides a site on the Internet and the site provides a page containing a plurality of selectable items corresponding to component information of respective ones of components made by different component makers. A customer terminal connects to the site via the Internet and the customer customizes the product by selectively determining the selectable items on the page.

Abstract: A card issuing agent system of the present invention includes: an information terminal for transmitting a card issuance application of a user connected to a communication network and his personal information to be examined and also receiving an examination result; a server for receiving the card issuance application and the personal information to then examine them for decision of card issuance permission/refusal and create/store an ID and a password necessary for card issuance and then transmit the examination result to the information terminal which applied for card issuance; and a card issuing machine installed in an around-the-clock store, for receiving an application for card issuance to then collate the ID and the password.

Abstract: A mark sheet reading apparatus is disclosed which can correct the coordinates of a binary signal read from a mark sheet when the mark sheet is in skew with an angle. A mark sheet having a plurality of marking areas arranged in a matrix of rows and columns thereon additionally has a reference row mark in the form of a continuous straight line provided in parallel to a row of the matrix and extending over a length covering the overall length of the row. The mark sheet reading apparatus comprises a reference row mark detection section for discriminating a successive condition of dots from among data read by an image sensor to detect the reference row mark of the mark sheet, a skew detection section for detecting an inclination rate of the reference row mark thus detected, and a skew correction section for correcting coordinates of binary data read by the image sensor in accordance with the inclination rate of the thus detected reference row mark.
