  • Patent number: 11969929
Abstract: Described herein is a multilayer microporous film or membrane that may exhibit improved properties, including improved dielectric break down and strength, compared to prior monolayer or tri-layer microporous membranes of the same thickness. The preferred multilayer microporous membrane comprises microlayers and one or more lamination interfaces or barriers. Also disclosed is a battery separator or battery comprising one or more of the multilayer microporous films or membranes. The inventive battery and battery separator is preferably safer and more robust than batteries and battery separators using prior monolayer and tri-layer microporous membranes. Also, described herein is a method for making the multilayer microporous separators, membranes or films described herein.

  • Publication number: 20060212729
Abstract: To attain, in an information processing device capable of exclusively operating a plurality of OSs, even in the case of switchover to the other OS after the OS has set operating time, easy actualization of starting up the OS at this operating time. On the occasion of execution by a startup timer unit stored with operating time set by a first or second operating system and causing the first operating system to transit from a stopping status to an operating status at the operating time, the operating time is read and temporarily stored before an operation of the second operating system, and, after temporarily storing the operating time, the temporarily-stored operating time is written back to the startup timer unit before the operation of the first operating system.

  • Patent number: 7103909
Abstract: An information processor equipped with a password storage for storing a password, which is inputted from outside for unlocking a password-locked condition of a storage device when booting the information processor. During a resume process, a controller unlocks the password-locked condition of the storage device using the password previously stored in the password storage. With this arrangement, when the information processor resumes its normal operating condition from a power saving mode, the operator does not need to input a password even if the information processor is installed in an unattended environment or a far remote local area.

  • Publication number: 20030070102
Abstract: A computer system having an electronic equipment having a password lock function of inhibiting execution of a process until a registration password is inputted. The computer system comprises an input unit (10) for inputting an update password to take the place of a registration password in a state in which an environment setting process executed with a startup of the computer system has been completed, an update password storing unit (20) for storing therein the update password, and a setting unit (40) for setting the update password stored in the update password storing unit (20) as a new registration password in the environment setting process executed with a startup of the computer system after the update password has been stored. Changing or setting of a password by a computer virus or the like can be prevented, and the operator can change a password with a GUI that the operator is accustomed to using when changing a password of an electronic equipment.
